Yoda, everything always seems worse in the dark of night...but a new day will dawn for you filled with your friends who care about you. Know that your friends and family are there for you and will help you in any way we/they can.

Matt you will be in our thoughts and prayers. realize life is hard sometimes but it does get better. If you don't give yourself that gift of tomorrow, you will be hurting so many people that care about you and depriving yourself of a future you deserve. One day at a Time Bud, if you end it all now, there will not be another day to fight the next battle. God Bless

Sincerely
Johnathan (((HUGS)))

Jonathan, very good point. I have gotten so mad with things before (ah, I will never date, ah, will just be a bagger at a grocery store for the rest of my life, ah, no one cares about me) that I thought maybe I should end it all. That was about a year and a half ago.

But I came to my senses, I was like, "hey, I have to fight it out. Who knows what God has planned for me?" Well, 6 months later I meet my NOW friend Emily, and go out with her on my very first date. A few months later I decided what career I wanted to go into; going to start serious schooling in a month.

In other words, Matt you have so much in your future; I know it! Take care! :)

Matt,

I've been there and done that too. That news may shock some of you but it is true. Please get some help ASAP. Don't wait until Monday.

All that you are doing by keeping these feelings bottled up inside of you is hurting yourself. It doesn't do you any good to do that, it just makes the situation that much worse.

There's a song from my church titled "God Is In Control". Think of those words tonight. Know that He has the situation under control and will lead you through these troubling times. Things will certainly get better for you.

Don't wait until it is too late! Get help now! Feel free to contact me via PM and I will give you my private AIM s/n to chat on if you want to. :)

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed
he was walking along the beach with the LORD.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand: one belonging
to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.

He noticed that many times along the path of
his life there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened at the very
lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he
questioned the LORD about it:

"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when
I needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied:

"My son, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."

Matt, He was with you last night. He will always be with you. I am praying for you to find the strength and the courage to overcome this hurtle in your life. I know you can do it. Please get help as soon as you can. God bless you.

I LOVE that poem...my friend has it in his kitchen, his mom put it up on the wall, before she died. It means a lot to my friend and me, and whoever sees it.

OH CRAP!!!

I am so sorry that I missed this thread earlier!

Matt - everything that has been posted by your friends here is good advice. I hope that you have already gone to a doctor or the hospital by now. There's nothing worse than that spiraling downward feeling that you are having. I KNOW FROM EXPERIENCE MYSELF!!

PLEASE, PLEASE, check in with us to let us know that you are alright!

Jen - a friend of mine give me that poem as a gift when I was leaving my job. She was there for me through my initial bouts with depression and my initial visits with my doctor. I cried after I read it. It is so beautiful and inspirational!
