They want to put Lance Armstrong in jail for racing? I have to say it, they are the dumbest country on the planet, or they have too much time on their hands. Prehaps the USA should reciprocate this and start going after Italian thletes in all of N America, since they are trying to charge people for actions comitted in another country (not even sure it is a legal prosecution, even if he were guilty of something since Armstrong is on Bush's cancer panel, not sure if this gives him diplomatic immunity or not)

The Giro (Italy's national tour) already gets the B and C teams of the major teams. Now, they may get the D and F teams, and the A and B teams will race at the other pro tour event, the Volta a Cataluyna, which next year is opposite the giro. Way to go Italy, hope your precious Giro is a total flop now

This has been a long time fued between Armstrong and Simeoni, it started back in 2003. They exchanged a few words and it pissed off Armstrong so he chased after the other guy, which obvioudly dosnt go well with French/Italian athorities. We dont need to be bashing countries here, they are just doing their job to protect and keep the race fair.

The question is why is Armstrong not being investigated by the French. Also, Italy is thinking about going after Mario Cippolini because he also doesn't like Simeoni and because he talked to Lance Armstrong at the Tour de Georgia, in the USA! I never knew what went on in the USA can be prosecuted by Italy. They should mind their own business as far as I'm concerned and keep their nose out of our internal affairs
