very sad

#1 Postby bevgo » Wed Jul 28, 2004 4:37 pm

My dad died last week. I am really depressed. He was sick a long time but I still miss him. I was at his bedside with my family when he went. He started bleeding in the middle of the night so I had to clean him up several times. It was so sad. Please keep me in your prayers.

Thanks!
Bev

Having lost my father also, I truly feel for you Bev. I'm so very sorry for your loss. Take comfort in that you were able to be with him when he passed. I was out of town when my dad passed away and to this day I still regret that decision (he was terminally ill with cancer and in a nursing home). I don't think I've ever 'met' you before now, on the boards, so what a time to welcome you, but I wanted you to know how sad I felt for you also.

Bev....you came to the right place for sincere prayers! So very sorry for your loss. Please know positive vibes and gentle prayers are coming your way. It's hard to watch someone you love suffer.....but it doesn't make loosing them any easier.

I was with my Dad many years ago when he passed away....I miss him terribly and wish my own kids had been able to meet him. Life DOES go on, my friend, and your Father lives on in you......p

Thanks for the kind words and prayers. I was lucky to have a dad like mine. I am from a small town and so many people had stories about how my dad touched their lives. He was a great man and I am honored to have been his daughter. I will miss him but am glad he is at peace finally

Bev, my heart goes out to you. Over time, you
will learn to smile at his memory, and, at all
of the stories about him that people will tell you.
We were at my Dad's bedside when he died
of cancer in June 2002, three days before
Father's Day. You will always miss him -
even dream about him - but the pain will ease
and you'll eventually learn to smile more than cry.
PM me if you need to talk, ok?

Let's try this again! I typed the reply, just as I hit post, the site went down!

Anyways....BEV, I can ONLY imagine the pain that your dealing with right now but rest assured, your father has gone to the Father ans is no longer in pain, no suffering....just sitting with the Glory of our Father shining all around him! Yes..it's tough dealing with the passing of a loved one but man, can you IMAGINE how GOOD they feel now?

God Bless Bev and you have my most sincere prayers with you!
