It's about time Bill Keneely went on location!!!

I had TWC on in the background and heard a live on-location segment start up, heard a familiar voice, and ran to the TV - Bill Keneely is in Montgomery, AL! I was so happy to see him working outside the studio! It's about time!

Then I thought of raine/Jackie - she hasn't posted in a long time. But I'm sure if she saw that segment, it made her day!!! He's her fave OCM....this topic is dedicated to you raine!

PS - now watch someone will say he was sent out on location for Charley or Frances, but I honestly don't remember if he was!!! If so, I apologize for this thread.....we know without a doubt in the world we'll see Mike Seidel and Jim Cantore with hurricane coverage. Next would be Stephanie Abrams (ugh) and now Janine Albert (I really like her but SA annoys me!). And finally Mike Bettes (someone here can't stand him, is that you Garrett or Jeremy?). But it's been a long, long time since I saw BK out in the field!!! And I've just always liked his forecasts - such a professional, never a sensationalist (uh hummmm, that would be Mike Bettes maybe?) :-)

I think Heather Tesch has been in the studio too long too.

I wonder how they decide who gets to (or has to) go out in the weather.

I wonder too! Alexandra and Kelly Cass both said at the 11 hour I think it was, usually our very own Bill Keneely is at the desk but he's on location today.....that's when I knew he hadn't been on assignment for a while. On the comical side, I wonder if his wife/kids said - hey, maybe you need a break Dad!!! LOL

I'm not a sun worshipper but Kristina sure seems too pale - either a little natural Vitamin D or blush might do her some good!

Bill Keneely used to be on location in tropical systems. It was back during the times most
of us in the online weather community enjoyed The Weather Channel so much more.

Back in the good ole days huh Tom?

Could there be a correlation between TWC suspending Storm Stories in order to cover the many hurricanes we've had this season and Bill Keneely going on location? Dare I ask if TWC is returning to their former ways, habits that we all liked and admired them for? Practices that turned many of us into wx fanatics in the first place!!!

Now if they say "we're not going to announce we're in Storm Alert, because quite frankly we are ~TWC~ and we are in Storm Alert 24/7" then we'll be on the right track again!!!

It would be like CNN announcing - "okay we're going into News Alert Mode folks".....I just crack up when they have to announce at each current wx update, "here at TWC we are in Alert Mode....". Ugh!

I remember TWC back in the days like 1995. They only had a handfull of forecasters and you could remember their names. Now they see to get new forecasters every week. ALthough I dont mind the new ones like Stephanie Abrams except they need to change her wardrobe and put her in a bathing suit on location 8-)
