I remember when she was still around Tallahassee. She wasn't so great on TV back then. Still havnt figured out how she made to TWC. She is SOOO not in the same league with Jim, Kristina, Paul, and Jeanetta.

She seems ok for a reporter. She is alot more perky then some of the other ones. it seems the TWC is trying to change it;s image. Before they cater to more of the weather weenies, but now they seem to want to cater to the more average person who knows very little about the weather. I think some of the people they hire such as this Nicole mitchell or Abrams is because of more sex appeal. Sex appeal= ratings.

Very good point. You can tell they are sexing it up a lot. The new young blonde bombshells, and the young hunky guys(there are 2 new ones I think). Add them to the other beautiful people...Me thinkgs poor Jeanetta went and had some work done to compete...anybody else notice things on her face seeming a little "tighter", ahem.

Having virtually ignored the Weather Channel for 2+ years until the recent endless parade of landfalling storms, I was astounded to see some of the longtime female OCMs looking like they just came off a stint on Fox's The Swan. Obviously they've had some bigtime media consultant bring in someone to pretty things up in the neverending quest for higher numbers. Cheryl Lemke, Kirsten Dodd, Sharon Resultan, etc. all apparently went Stepford and 9 or 10 hair shades lighter per management's direction.

And who is this Alexandra Steele woman they brought in? Or Heather Tesch? Man, you can't help but feel the love when those two are sharing the desk...NOT! As for Tesch, someone needs to help the poor woman get that constant expression of wide-eyed befuddlement off her face. She needn't fear...spotlight hunting doe is illegal in Georgia and not practiced much anyway inside the I-285 loop.

That Amanda Steele with her haircut looks to be from the late 1970s lol. Kristen Dodd is cute though.

Gag....barf....what...LOL!!!

Sorry, just not a SA fan. Can see why all you young guys/members like her. I'll leave it at that.

Someone mentioned Alexandra Steele.....
http://www.weather.com/aboutus/televisi ... teele.html

Agree, someone needs to pull her aside and gently explain her hairstyle is straight out of the 70s! I should know, I'm old enough to remember long-shags like she has. That is exactly what that hairstyle is and it's so outdated.

This is a funny thread though.....not surprised somebody would start a SA fanclub up.....I just can't stand her forecasts. The second TWC says "and now we'll go to SA in Florida....." I change the channel.

I see nothing wrong with her reports. Plus she is a babe too!

Well, IMHO, SA is a sensationalist. Please deliver the wx, even if there's a hurricane coming, this isn't a Hollywood set Steph.

That's why I don't like her - she screams her reports into the mike, has her crew hold onto her (I know you all want this job!) just to demonstrate how strong the wind is.

Please, I'll take any other TWC Met over SA. Anyday. But I do respect your opinion, just please respect that she doesn't endear herself to everyone!

LOL, Der! You obviously haven't seen the strange websites with unlimited numbers of screen caps and videos of Kristina Abernathy?

By the way, a Yahoo group does not a fan club make.
:na:

Ya gotta have meetings, a secret handshake, lots of cool posters and pics of your fave celeb (especially autographed ones), a whole shoe box full of newspaper and TV guide clippings, knowledge of entire script and/or lyrics to every episode, movie, or song, and you have to memorize those all-important answers to those Tiger Beat questions, like "What turns Scott Baio on?" and "What is Lisa Whelchel's favorite food?" (I hear it ain't hot sauce ) and "You can be Valerie Bertinelli's best friend if you a)________, b)_________, and especially c)____________.

:notworthy:

So totally awesome, huh?

:roflmao:

(I'll confess -- the only "fan club" I ever joined [before the invasion of the internet] was Lisa Whelchel's. But her grandmother (God rest her soul, she just died recently) was the one who sent out all the pics and answered the letters.)
