Please keep this brave young hero in your prayers

#1 Postby JetMaxx » Tue Apr 08, 2003 8:10 pm

I just got off the phone with the sister of P.O.W. Chief Warrant Officer Ronald Young, Jr....a brave Apache attack helicopter pilot shot down during combat near Karbala, Iraq on March 24th, along with his co-pilot CWO David Williams, a gentleman from from Texas.

Ron was born and grew up right here in Douglas County, only about 4 or 5 miles from me. He's a good guy.
His family and friends are keeping the faith....spirits high that Ron will be found soon, safe, and on his way back home--and so do I. His little sister told me they were planning the biggest party in Douglasville history when her big brother comes home. I can't wait..

Here's a great article on Ron I found in Meridian magazine...

Please keep Ron and his co-pilot David in your thoughts and prayers.

Thanks,
Perry

Me too Annette. I told his little sister to mark it down....when Ron gets back to Douglasville, I'm treating him and his parents to lunch...at the restaurant of their choice :)

Ron's a big guy (6'4"), and so am I. If you arrive after we order, there may not be anything left to eat :D
