Nicky Hilton reaches a new low!

Nicky and Todd's Ring Thing
October 21, 2004
Hotel heiress Nicky Hilton recently celebrated her 21st birthday in Las Vegas, the same town where she wed moneyman Todd Meister in August, but Todd was notably absent from the birthday party. Now come reports that the two are reportedly working to have their marriage annulled -- and feuding over the rock.

Todd and Nicky became paparazzi favorites shortly after their wedding, and several photographs prominently displayed Hilton's engagement ring, a Meister family heirloom reportedly worth $1 million.

Now that the marriage seems to be coming to an end, People magazine cites an unnamed source saying, "Hilton wants to keep her diamond ring, which belonged to Meister's late mother." But legally, the ring may not be hers to keep.

Judge Marilyn Milian, of "The People's Court," has heard many cases involving broken engagements, and she told "CJ" that when it comes to the ring, location is everything, because, "Every state has different laws governing what happens to the engagement ring."

It's likely that after returning from their Vegas wedding, Todd gave Nicky the ring in California, where it is considered a "gift in contemplation of marriage." In this case, who gets the ring depends on who called it quits: If she ended it, he keeps it -- If he ended it or it was mutual, it's hers.

However, insiders who know the couple say that, while they do have to make a decision over ownership of the ring, any reports of a bitter battle over it are "pure bunk."

But to have the gall to have the marriage annulled and still want to keep a family heirloom!!! I dont care how much money she has. That's just plain tacky.

I wonder how she (or her sister) would feel if they had to have a real job for a living

She needs to return it...especially if its an heirloom...those Hilton girls are twits...

Hubby saw Paris sitting at a bar at The Palms Monday night...I didn't even bother to walk over and take a glimpse...afterall, what is she famous for...getting drunk at parties? Not an indication of new role models for our girls I hope...

They definately don't need any more money. Both of them were Multi-Millionaires before God even thought about making them!~
