And no it wasn't on Channel 12. See I watch Fox 19 at 10pm to get news before bedtime. Which for me is typically 11pm. Anyways, they did a funny song with the station's chief meteorologist. Ever see/hear the bud light commercials? Well it's based on that. Here's a link if anyone's interested...

Click on the video link for "Apuzzo Real Man of Genius". Describes him to a T!
Something funny on local news station last night...

Jeremy!!! You won't believe this but just today I emailed Rich. Asking if he's going to post a Winter Outlook sometime soon. I don't know what made me do it, but I gave him a Storm2K link!!! Now I'm not saying he'll pop his head in here, but I'm sure his ears are burning today.
I'll have to check out this link....didn't watch their forecast last night.

PS - self edit....that does describe Channel 19's Met Rich Apuzzo to a T! Wish I had seen in live last night....dang. What were the reactions from the anchor desk? Hilarious I'm sure.....I ran into him in a local 7/11 (UDF to you Jeremy, the rest here wouldn't know what a UDF was!) once. Pre-winter, temps were still in the 40s and 50s but cold wx was fast approaching. He was talking to anyone and everyone that day. So personable. I introduced myself and said I subscribed to his online-wx-update list. He really kicked into high gear then - giving me an instant read on his winter outlook. Much to Laura, my youngest child's, dismay. She wanted to hightail it for the car - giving me that MOM look......a funny encounter with somewhat of a local celeb.....LOL

Now that clip should be on their website too!!! I'd love to see them all laughing so hard.
FYI to anyone else, this link is about half way down the page, under Flu 411, look for that and you'll see the Rich Apuzzo tribute link.
It would be great if he joined our message board. He wouldn't be a boring Met/member, that's for sure!

Jeremy - Rich Apuzzo knows about Storm2K already. I received a nice reply from him today. He said he's visited this site before but he doesn't have much time to 'chat' with folks. I think he meant post messages also. Wonder if he already belongs? Mmmm......you do some checking Jeremy. I'm not so good at that.
