Im in some very strong pain right now. Yesterday morning I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth out and A plcae on my lip sent of to Emory to be checked to see if its cancerous or not. It has not been a fun past 24 hrs.

I had to have my wisdom teeth out because they were getting infected and would not, except 1 tooth, come all the way up and were turned sideways and stuff. And they wanted to take the thing off my lip so that they new it would not be cancerous.

I cant east any solid food for the next 2 days. And I cant have anything but clear liquids for the next 4.

Hopefully these Ice packs will continue helping along with the 3 advill. And hopefully the Penicilin Im taking will keep the infection out. I hope that it will be over soon. But I dont know.

take care yourself and be sure not to get a dry socket - don't use straw, etc.

I had a biopsy on my lip a few years ago. Pre-cancer thing and no big deal. Hope your turns out to be no big deal, also. Let us know!

I pray you have a speedy and full recovery.

Pain in your mouth is no fun at all, and waiting for the results of such a test can be really nerve wracking....

My mom had impacted wisdom teeth (thats when they dont come up properly) I remember her after her surgery. Her face was so swollen she looked like a chipmunk with stuffed cheeks. I do remember that drinking ice-tea seemed to be a big comfort to her mouth (actually it was just slightly cooler than room temp) also she ate a load of chicken soup through a straw... chicken soup is comfort food ;)

Prayers for healing sent out to you.

A friend of mine recently had his wisdom teeth pulled out after getting punched by a homeless man, who was caught stealing his dinner.

Having your wisdom teeth out is NOT FUN. The pain only lasts a few days though.

I hope that the other test comes back negative.
