Proctor & Gamble comes out of the closet....

#1 Postby j » Tue Nov 16, 2004 8:55 am

now pushing homosexual TV agenda

Below is the body of text I recieved from one of my American Family Association friends:

Dear Sir,

Procter & Gamble, maker of Crest, Tide and Pampers, is the leading sponsor of two TV programs that continually push the homosexual agenda.

The sitcom Will & Grace regularly promotes homosexuality and explicit sex-talk with jokes about male and female genitalia, masturbation, oral sex and even anal sex. The series' two male stars are both homosexual. From the beginning, the series has been about nothing but sex.

Will & Grace is the program that showed two men passionately kissing each other.

According to Broadcasting & Cable online magazine, P&G was the top sponsor of Will & Grace between September 2003 and February 2004. P&G spent an astonishing $8.2 in sponsorship of this program promoting the homosexual agenda.

Queer Eye for the Straight Guy depicts five homosexual men remaking the "cluttered, straight men of the world" so that they look, dress and act in the manner of the "cool" and, by implication, superior "gay" community. The program consistently seeks to validate and glorify the homosexual lifestyle.

Between September 2003 and February 2004, P&G spent $2,000,000 in sponsorship of this program promoting the homosexual agenda.

Remember that P&G pulled all their advertising support from Dr. Laura's program after a complaint from the homosexual community. P&G will support programs that are pro-homosexual, but refuse to support programs that tell the truth about homosexuality!

Procter & Gamble has become a leading advocate for the homosexual lifestyle. For more information on P&G's promotion of homosexuality, http://www.pgboycott.com/promotion.asp

Please support the boycott of P&G, and ask others to do so.

To sign the Boycott P&G petition, http://www.pgboycott.com/promotion.asp.

American Family Association is asking individuals to:

1. Boycott three products of P&G - Crest toothpaste, Tide detergent, and Pampers diapers. (Some are boycotting all P&G products, which we encourage). To print out a list of P&G products, http://www.pgboycott.com/productlist.asp

2. Print out a Boycott Procter & Gamble petition and distribute among Sunday school and church members and with friends. http://www.pgboycott.com/PGBoycottPetition.txt

3. Please register your support for the boycott at http://www.pgboycott.com

4. Call Chairman A.G. Lafley at 513-983-1100 and politely let him know that you are participating in the boycott and will ask others to do the same.

5. Help us spread the word by forwarding this to friends and family.
Sincerely,

Don

I'd been following AFA's lead for the past decade when it was revealed the P&G had ties to the Aleister Crowley and the Church of Satan.

For the record, W&G never have shown two men passionately kissing each other. However, the humor does get pretty racy at times. Also, the article lies when it says the two male stars are both homosexual. Eric McCormack is married to a woman (since '97) with a child.

Do they know how many actors and actresses actually ARE gay? That doesn't necessarily mean they depict gay characters...most of them don't. Do they know how many straight actors and actresses have depicted gay characters or characters who have been involved a same-sex kiss? Tons. I could list dozens, from lefties like Tom Hanks and Patty Duke to right-wingers Bruce Willis and Jill Hennessy.

QASG actually doesn't promote anything but good skin care and a clean house. The guys clean up the straight guy with a home and body make-over, usually for the sake of the straight guy's relationship with his girlfriend. Nothing gay about that.

Furthermore, QASG isn't even on a network. It's a cable program. No one said squat about Sex & The City. That show promoted promiscuity.

Does this mean I have to boycott all the sponsors of Law & Order: SVU since they depict rapists, murders, and child molestors? No mention of ER -- they have a gay character. So does ABC's NYPD Blue (not that I'm an ABC fan). Touched By An Angel had an episode that depicted acceptance of a gay man in a positive light.

Gosh, I should just turn off the TV and turn on the radio. No, wait...Elton John is singing. I'll switch to country. Nope, it's Ty Herndon. Guess I'll read a book or watch sports. Ah, heck...there are gays there also. Dang!

I'll just get to work. :)

None taken. :)

I agree, to some degree anyway. I never liked it when ABC's "Once & Again" (an otherwise pretty good show considering it was on ABC) showed two thirteen year-old girls kissing. Both actresses were well under 18 as well as their characters.

Not that I watch a lot of TV, but I did happen to watch Cold Case on Sunday night.. That episode was really quite racy to me... It was about gay men and the spread of AIDS, back in the 80's, before they knew alot about AIDS... It was very explicit in my opinion...ie - guys in a hot house with nothing but white towels on hitting on each other, and some othes making out on the background... I think that that is the most racy show I have seen yet on national tv that showed gay men interacting... Im surprised there arent any comments on that episode...Though it was VERY interesting...

And I dont watch that show, I was at my in-laws and it was on... when I got home I turned on ESPN and watch the PARTIOTS slaughter the Bills... Now thats what I call entertainment!! :)

*wiping brow*

Whew! Good thing I don't work in Cincy. I'd have a hard time with that bit about not discriminating against anyone of Appalachian origin. Says a lot that they actually had to include that! I'm obviously not alone. I'll confess -- that's one area I have to work on. At least, I admit it.

Cant you just boycott by turning the channel? You shouldnt be able to deprive those of us who enjoy these shows. I LOVE Will& Grace as well as QE.

The computer Nazis here wont let me see the American Family website because it's religion based. but some private groups interpretation of Biblical belief and the application of that to ALL is unjust.

Wasn't one of the Fab 5 originally discovered as being straight and kicked off the show or am I just imagining things?

I gotta say, W&G and QE don't bother me at all, considering
that another show insisted that I watch people gulp down
live insects and have spiders and snakes crawl
on them, without screaming, for MONEY? GAG! Ex-CUSE me
while I eat my Chicken Fetticini Alfredo? :18:
