I am learning more and more every day about promoting websites, especially e-commerce websites. I can tell you that search engine optimization is only about 15 to 20 percent of the total promotional campaign for a website. Google tracks the number of relevant links from other sites to your site. It's a good idea to get as many relevant reciprocal links from other websites that are related to your site as you can. You need hundreds to get a really good Page Rank. Once you attain a Google Page Rank of 5, other related websites tend to be far more willing to trade reciprocal links with you.
