Well..whats 1 week..he'll sit in prison for 8 to 10 years before the Ca appeals court even begins proceedings.

The death penalty in this country is a joke.

Ah, not true.

Anyway, this is a good decision. Wait till next Monday. No need for a death peanlty phase when you only have 2-3 days in Court this week.

Yoda, I was having a hard time following your beliefs in J's death row thread.. But now I read this and some lights are coming on.. Do you know how long someone sits on death row going through appeals?

Yes. It depends really. It can be as short as 4-5 years, or as long as 17 years.

No. That is what I heard reported on Fox News last week some time. I'm pretty sure I heard correctly, perhaps somebody can back this up.

After what happened today on the second trial in the Binion case I feel physically ill. How any jury could vote not guilty is beyond me.
