What is wrong with people? Kids will be kids! They don't think of the consequences of their actions!!! I would have cut them some slack, maybe given them a short lecture, even if I got the rolled eye look. When they own their own cars someday, they would have thought back on this incident and realized it was a foolish game to play.

Hope they throw the book at her.

I think there is a biblical defense for her actions, Elijah and the mocking boys. Just be glad a polar bear didn't chase these kids down....

any news on their condition?

Isiah Grayer remains in critical condition at hospital

Isiah Grayer, the 13-year-old boy who was run down Sunday afternoon, remains in critical condition at Shands hospital in Jacksonville.

Kathy Allen, 47, of 1145 South Scenic Way, drove her Chevy Blazer over Isiah and his brother, Justin Mashman, 16, after the boys accidentally hit her car with a golf ball, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office. Justin has a fractured skull and contusions.

Allen is being charged with three counts of attempted murder.

The Sheriff's Office said she intentionally ran over the two brothers and tried to run over a third brother in the parking lot of West Gate Plaza, 525 S.R. 16.
