Think I'll go to the VET next time, "SHEEEESH!"

Just got home about 1/2 hour ago, our baby Sweetz was SICK big time, couldn't hold food down, couldn't hold WATER down  Seems there's a "Doggie Virus" going around AS well as the flu for humans. Spent over 3 HOURS at the Emergency Vet Hospital.....the final bill, $207.00!! Got enough MEDS to choke a horse, antibiotics, steroids and something else....actually, the meds are the EXACT SAME as I take ONLY 2/3 "LESS" :x than what I pay! NOW...compare THIS to my broken arm, same amount of time in the ER, SAME amount of meds minus the pain meds AND the bill for MY ER visit was 5 TIMES MORE :grrr: Next time I need to go the ER, think I'll go the DOG ER "LOL!"

Dennis,

Prayers and thoughts with Sweetz on a quick and smooth recovery, Wxbuddy!! :)

Speaking of absurd human doctor $$$$ costs...back in February of 2001 when I went to see a physician when I was diagnosed with hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)...she charged me nearly $100 just FOR talking to her in the examination room!!! :x I felt like knocking her block off!! :grrr:

We have a vet ER about 10 minutes away. When Bandit had a freak accident and got his foot stuck in a snap hook from the end of a leash, it was only (ONLY) $65 without any anesthesia or meds to remove it. It took me and two vet assistants to hold him down while the vet worked with a BIG pair of pliers. Bent the thing and it came right off.

Hope Sweetz is feeling better Dennis.

Let me hear your best ARF ARF ARF.

The bill is so much less because your dog isn't as likely to sue.

Tell Sweetz that The Big Dog wishes a speedy recovery. <woof!>

Hopefully, with the meds, this will be a short-lived
virus, Dennis! Of course, when a dog won't eat or
drink, the FUN part is getting the medicine down (NOT!)!

Give Sweets an extra snuggle and scratch behind the
ear from me!
