Question...were you lifting the riding mower up over a ledge or step in and out of shed? I'm just trying to imagine picking one of these things up!!!

I know, my question/comments are really helping ya feel better j....but hey, you have been compared to Jon Stewart, so it's not all bad!

I don't pick it up and put on my shoulders or anything...I'm not a mountain man like Dennis :)...I have to get it to the ground, and I've been too lazy to build a ramp. So I wheel it to the edge, pick up one end and get it to the ground. Easier going out than coming in.

Mary...I think the reason my back went out is I'm living the life of a true southerner these days. I'm going so slow, I'm almost in reverse. As back braking as shoveling snow can be, it keeps you in shape.

Been spending too many lazy days on the veranda j? A very slow pace would drive me nuts I think. Although Ohioians do not move as fast as New Englanders. But I understand what you're saying, we've vacationed twice up there - the pace is very different. I've posted this before, but when a priest almost runs down an 8 month old pregnant woman (me!), walking in a crosswalk WITH the walk light in downtown Boston, that's definitely saying something about the pace! Even though I was trying to show my stomach, he did not care one bit - he was in a major a** hurry to go somewhere...
