w/o a doubt the Red Sox winning the WS is top story (not to trivialize Florida hurricanes story).

As far as Bush winning the election...big story I suppose..but I never doubted he would so....

Has anyone heard anything about that Latino who killed Dru Sjodin in MN? Seems that story dropped off the radar...but they caught him this year, didn't they? :larrow: Yet, no follow-up, not even on "On The Record" w/Greta van Susteren. :?:

http://www.grandforks.com/mld/grandfork ... 489310.htm from 12/24/04:

Investigators work on Sjodin case

Investigators continue to gather evidence in the case of a man charged in the death of UND student Dru Sjodin, the U.S. attorney says.

Alfonso Rodriguez Jr., 51, of Crookston, is scheduled for trial in March 2006. He has pleaded not guilty to a charge of kidnapping resulting the death of Sjodin, whose body was found near Crookston in April.

"We've already done a substantial amount of work," U.S. Attorney Drew Wrigley said. "But there's still work to be done, investigative work yet to be done."

Wrigley said prosecutors from Fargo met last week with Minnesota crime bureau agents for an update.

Sjodin, 22, of Pequot Lakes, Minn., disappeared in November 2003 from a Grand Forks shopping mall. More than 40 law enforcement agencies in the Dakotas and Minnesota have worked on the case.

Further reason why it is best to wait until the last two or three weeks of the year. ;)

I would put the Tsunami as probably the biggest natural dissaster, with the Florida Hurricanes and the midwest's tornadoes (which I was close to taking part in personally) following right behind.

Politically, obviously, November 2nd. Not necessarily the biggest Bush fan due to the economy policies, but he does have values which I support.

Oh, and how can we forget Miss. Brittany and her little modeling act at the Superbowl!
