DALLAS ISD MAY BE FORCED TO CUT JOBS
DALLAS, Texas (KDFW Fox 4) -- Dallas school leaders may be forced to cut 400 jobs as a way to erase a nearly 16 million dollar budget deficit for the coming school year. The district must finalize the budget by June 30. Initial meetings are scheduled for next month. Leaders say they're investigating several options to balance the budget, and none of them will be popular, or pleasant. Some of the options the district will think about include increasing class sizes, consolidating small campuses, or raising taxes.
