On the archived Matt Maupin site I gave a link for, are over 1600 posted messages for his family to read. A recent one mentions his 'murder' so there's a man that heard this report too. Lindaloo keeps up with news like this. Perhaps she can find a link to confirm or deny the Gov./Army thinks that video is Matt now.

I heard the rumors, but it's been awhile, so I don't know if I can find any links. It never was proven. The video was very grainy and of bad quality.

Sunny,
I am so sorry about Bradley. I was hoping that his untimely death would not impact us so hard but it has hit to close to home to not realize that even my son may be at risk to be killed as long as he is in the military. My youngest son is currently serving in the USN as a 2nd class Petty Officer aboard the U.S.S. Theodore Roosevelt stationed at Norfolk, Va.

Thank you, DaylilyDawn. I think this has hit us all pretty hard. As you said, it has hit FAR too close to home. Bradley was part of my nephew's unit. We talked to Brandon on Saturday, and they were holding up pretty good. Of course, they were all shaken. They are mourning their brothers, and at the same time fighting a war. The 256 has lost eight soldiers since last week - they lost two more on Monday. I say special prayers for all of them everyday, and will add your son to my prayer list.
