A car connected to the search for a missing Marion County, Fla., boy and the convicted sex offender who allegedly kidnapped him has been located in north Georgia, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
A 1993 four-door white Chevrolet Lumina was found abandoned on a remote Georgia road, police told Local 6 News Friday. The missing 11-year-old boy, Adam Kirkirt, and the man suspected of kidnapping him, Fredrick Fretz, 42, are still missing.
It has not been determined if Friday's search in the Ocala National Forest has been postponed because of the latest developments.
Investigators have scheduled a press conference Friday at 4 p.m.
