I was home here on the phone with my dad in Illinois. We were both watching the same video on TV.

I remember telling him that the vapor trail that was being seen coming out of the sky was a very bad sign. He said it just looked like the contrail on the jet.

"But that's not normal for reentry of a space shuttle," I said. And then we began seeing the shuttle break into pieces.

It was a very sad morning.

Was at a computer that Dad and I shared...with the TV on in the background when I heard the breaking news.

I was at home as well. It was a very sad day, but I remember the time I had heard about the Challenger exploding more vividly.

They were very brave men and women. :(
