Hurricanedude safe and sound!!!!

#1 Postby mamadude » Mon Apr 21, 2003 7:16 am

:P Mike has arrived to his destination safe and sound, and still intact, it was about a 30 second call so got no info from him, except his location is still "top secret" was a simple, Im ok....I love you and will see you asap type of call, the ones that make you glad he is ok, but the ones that make you cray for just 30 seconds more. But "OUR DUDE" is ok, so Just wanted to keep you all informed, If Mike doesnt retire soon, Im going to have to start taking Zoloft or Xanax or something...geeeeeesh im a wreck!!

Good news that you shared with us and I say to him to be safe over there and keep in touch with you and then you relay his message.

Mamadude - thanks for the update on Mike. Keep 'em coming. You don't have to give many details, just that he's okay. I'm sure you're a wreck, can well understand that. My niece's husband (I refer to him as our nephew, b/c in every sense he is now!) is in Iraq near Baghdad, with the 101st last we heard. He will be there for 6-8 months total time. Now that the war is "over", still lots to be done, I'm a little more relaxed about him but we'll all very worried still. I'll be worried until the day he comes home. Feel free to vent here anytime Brenda!

My stepdaugter's boyfriend/ babies father, left for Iraq Saturday afternoon. This was supposed to have happened weeks ago, and they were starting to think they weren't going after all. In fact, on Wed. they gave members of his unit weekend passes to go home (he's been in Indiana), and then turned around on Thursday and told them they were leaving on Saturday.

Brenda, thanks so much for the update on Dude!

Hey - he loves 'ya more! LoL, he just didn't want to have
to endure our spit balls, paper wads, beatings with
wet noodles and such when he got back! :ggreen:
