Thanks everyone..
I took aunt Millie to the eye surgeon, and she has suffered some loss of vision, but is a little better than this morning.

I took her home late this afternoon-- the eye doctor said not to push her into moving (his own mother is blind, 91 years of age, and has lived alone for 8 years -- he said she knows the inside of her home well, and has no problems as long as she remains inside). I'm less than a mile from aunt Millie, and she knows I'll be there in less than 3 minutes if she needs me.

Aunt Millie assured me she'll be okay...she doesn't want to move, at least not as long as she can still take care of herself. All I can do is wait and see how she does....but I just spoke with her, and she's doing fine this evening.

Again, thanks so much for the prayers everyone....it means a lot to me!

God Bless,
Perry

**Bill, I'm so sorry about your friend's dad. I'll remember him in my prayers.

I had 14 aunts and uncles at one time...10 on my mom's side, and 4 on my dad's. Every one of them was special in some way, and I wish now that I would have told a couple of them how important they were to me while they were alive. I have 1 aunt and 3 uncles remaining.

Perry, you are a wonderful soul for providing care and love for your aunt, and while being a caregiver can seem like such a burden at times, it is a wonderful gift for both of you.

I pray for her sight and her well being...and for your patience and understanding of her challenges.

Perry, I guess I need to add some strength to my prayers that are said nightly for you and your aunt and Grannie. I am so sorry to hear about your aunt having to confront this.

And yes people, in case you haven't figured it out Perry is also his grandmothers caregiver!! He truly is a special person!!!

May God's healing graces flow to you and yours, Perry.

Thanks! :)

David, your words humble me...but I honestly don't look upon them as my granny and great aunt: to me they're mom and grandma :)

God Bless,
Perry

Thanks JQ! :)

Aunt Millie's doing well tonight...she's always had a very positive outlook on life and great determination (similar to my sister Becky) -- she doesn't ever give up (she beat cancer at age 44, and again in her late 60's).

God Bless,
Perry
