Just wrote a check and paused after I wrote today's date.....

And here we are halfway thru this decade.....do we have a name for this decade yet? The ought's just doesn't do it for me! I know I've asked this question before, it's just something that's been bugging me.

We had 5:05:05 am and 5:05:05 pm, 2.75 and 14.75 hours ago. 5:55:55 am and pm were nice, too.

Give this decade some time. The 1960's didn't fully take shape until the end of the decade. 1960 thru about 1966 were pretty nondescript. The 1970's were a transition from hippies to self doubt which didn't really take shape until after Carter was elected in '76. The Reagan years in the '80's came full bloom around '85. The 90's were shaped by Monica, er, Clinton in the latter part of the decade. So I'd give it a couple more years to see what this decade will be about.
