But I can't seem to find the thread. (Mainly because it's from over a year ago I think, but I'm pretty sure either Stephanie or Stormsfury started it?)
Anyways, how many of us hate being hungry? I know I do. But, what if nothing really looks good? That's how I'm feeling right now. I have three choices right this minute. I have two of those here. I could eat a can of either chili or spaghetti and meatballs. OR...I could go out and get something to eat. Don't know what I'll do yet but I'll figure it out really soon.
I know this has been asked before.

I hope you went with something light and not spicy, unless you think you could handle it.
I know what you mean. It's weird being hungry, but not hungry for anything specific. So, you keep looking around, trying to figure out what is going to satiate your appetite. Usually fruit works for me.

When this happens to me it is usually an indication that my blood sugar is low. Nothing at all appeals to me and I make the cabinet to freezer to fridge circuit several times and then I realize why it is happening. If I stop and think, it usually has been many hours since I have had anything at all to eat. Then I force myself to take the healthiest thing I can find and eat it, even if it has no appeal.

Well, I finally went out last night about 8:45 and grabbed McDonald's. And yes, I was able to handle it. I'd eaten once a day for like 3 days, and that just wasn't gonna get it anymore. So yeah I finally got something. I'm about to walk across the road to the convenience store and get some french bread pizzas. We have some, but they're my stepdad's so if I want some, I have to buy my own.

I don't remember that thread, but it doesn't mean there wasn't one.

Usually if I'm feeling hungry, but nothing suits my interest, I consider that someone is doing me a favor...

Anyway, I've had that hppen to me before. There are times when I'll get nauseous like weathermom and I HAVE TO eat something. A mint will usually suffice to get over the low blood sugar. I know I need to eat in the morning or I'd feel the same way. Sometimes I even get shaky.
If you've been sick over the last few days, it makes sense to me why nothing would seem too appealing now, though you do need to get something in you so you can continue to get better.

I don't react at all to hunger...or, not as most might.
I can still recall sharing one large can of tuna betweeen three of us grad students; and later, spending Christmas to the day after New Years living on nothing but instant coffee and sleeping a lot (to preserve my strength) until my grant funds came in.
One does what one has to do.
