Never did have time for the Starbucks this morning but a frosty mug of A&W root beer with a scoop of vanilla ice cream sure does sound good about now  For you 'fat pill' lovers - the Best of Burger World can be had right in your own grocery store's freezer section. No need to drive to/order from the Midwest or Great Lakes States....White Castles are in Safeways, Albertsons, Topps, Krogers and whatever grocer dejour you may have in your larger areas...(I think they taste like discarded cow hooves between two pieces of defrosted mushy cardboard IMO but don't let that stop ya) Streetsoldier, I'm ready for those cookies now...

OK - - back to Iraq. Bill you've nailed it..... Give things a chance to calm down over in Baghdad and get the new government kick-started...then watch the fireworks begin all over again. This is just a respite from the calamity of disarray. Nothing is ever 'calm and collected' over there; it's against their personallities and training from childhood, or so we are led to believe. You see the joy and happiness one minute, then they're ready to stomp your face into the ground the next. Quick turnaround; flash tempers. Not a good place for kids, so you can imagine the impressions they're getting now as a base for their adulthood. Pity. Marshall, if Saddam is who they have 'faith in' then the situation is graver than we perceived, for such a man to be the sole goal of a wandering nation.

(...And BTW, that engine won't fit even with a shoe horn and WD40.)

Midwest vs CaliWest Cuture and Cusine,It's ALL GOOD Americana!
Something(very clever segue)the Lalalalalalalalalalala Iraqi Populous knows little of.We have differing micro and macro cutures and something called 'Democratic' ways of electing those suited(or perceived to)to respresent in a Civilized and Tolerant Affectation,vs thier Tribal Toungelashes.
This is like expecting a BarrioToddler or Preschooler Rugrat to attend Finch Finishing School. The distance from A to Z does not equal A-B..albiet we seem to think in the Post 'War' World of IraqAttack that it is indeed the shortest distance betwixt the two.Horsepucky I say!
These people have been under the thumb of Mack the Knife for so long, generations of brainwashed flocks may take more generations just to understand basic principles of modern Democracy,if not Haute Coutre Culture entirely from square Uno.

Speaking of MoTown..one may be surprised that a DTW Short Block can be shoehorned into many Engine Bays, sans the WD-40..some bolt right in!Take an '84 Jaguar XJ-6 or 12 'Vanden Plas' with blown engines(about 6 Grand to replace),and the fix was a GM 350cu in. MPFI 5.7L V-8(de-tuned 'Vette Engine)..bolted right in..AC Delco accessories and a GM TurboHydramatic TH-350/400 Auto tranny and all!Fast, reliable at less than half the price.
Ahhhh the 'Vanden Plas'Edition with Rolls Royce Coventry Hides and hand edged Piping on the Seating Surfaces.Gotta love the Burled Walnut rear seat tray tables,Air Suspension to smooth the ride ,with suitable Crystal to pour the Rothschild!May I get you a Crumpet or Scone M2?

No slight to anyone from Nogo, but what is a Pinacle of Cars (Porsche) doing in there in the first place unless it's a tourista auto. That's like having Communion in a landfill - sacralidge! Rules of the road: You NEVER pass a Porsche; have some respect. You give a Porsche all the room it wants because it deserves it. Always speed up to follow a Porsche to protect its flank from Smokey; he'll protect your point. Plus what else would you want to be behind for such a great view... 8) If you can't drive behind one or he wants some extra space, drive in 'formation' and assume the wingman position off either side & slightly behind; still another view that can't be beat. Plus it give one the chance to check out the paint job and look to see if it's been 'redone.' If you follow a Porsche for any extended length of time on the Interstates or Highways but must exit, give the courtesy 'flash of lights/highbeams' when moving away to say 'Thanks - I had a great time'. :ggreen: It's understood in any language here in the States (and maybe on the Autobahn).

Ah, such pleasant thoughts - why get back to Iraq????? Sure, a scone and some grilled shrimp would be very nice about now. Dinner anyone? 8)
