I LOVE salads, especially chef salads and chopped salads (like Cobb salads) or a large house salad fancied up with shrimp or buffalo chicken, no croutons, but sunflower and/or pumpkin seeds and loads of blue cheese chunks, with blue cheese dressing on the side. Or raspberry vinaigrette dressing. Or mango dressing. And avocados. And sprouts. And sliced olives. Oh, yeck, and just about anything. I love salads -- and obviously am incredibly hungry for one right now!
Sweet Tomatoes is a great salad restaurant chain in SoFla, as well. In a pinch, the salad bar at Ruby Tuesday's can be pretty good, too. Pineapple Grill, a small, cute Key West-y restaurant in Delray Beach (the next town south of here), has fantastic salads made with unusual and delicious ingredient combinations for lunch or dinner in a relaxing, indoor-or-outdoor Caribbean setting.
