Lost dog returns after 7 month journey

#1 Postby Miss Mary » Sun Jun 05, 2005 10:40 am

How often do you read a good outcome from a lost dog/cat/pet story? Well, here's one for your Sunday reading pleasure. This story just made me SMILE today! And of course a little angry at the woman who took this dog in the first place, I remember this story surfacing a few months ago. It is a strange story but so glad it had a good outcome.

And now I have to go hug my dog Hope.

What a heartwarming story. Glad to see there are still some caring people out there.

It was rather touching. Happy for Daisy.

Awww...so glad that Daisy was returned to her owner! :D

What a trip for her...and only if dogs could talk or write...she'd really have a story to tell!

Eric - I know, just look at that sweet's pup's face, while snoozing on the couch. I know in our case, whenever Hope gets back from the kennel, she is so excited to really be home. She can't get settled for a while. Finally, she goes back to our laundry room (her room we call it) and takes a much deserved nap (closing the door with her paw).

After reading an earlier article about this dog's absence and illegal adoption by another lady, I feared it would have to go to court. Glad to see it didn't get that far. How could you keep another person's dog or pet? I know I couldn't. Unless of course they were abusive owners, which thankfully wasn't the case here.

Mary,

I'm very thankful, too, that she wasn't taken by a black market group that I've heard about in the past in our country...can't even begin to think about what happens to some of those poor pets. :(

I'm glad the lady's conscience got to her and she returned her...can't understand a person's logic there in a petnapping if the owner isn't abusive.

That's cute of Hope closing the door with her paw...like saying "It's my naptime now family...see you after I count some zzzz milkbones zzzz." :D

Eric - this laundry room door used to squeek terribly. So I applied WD30 to it and now it never stays open. We have an old brick propping it open. The floor is tile and we can hear Hope shooting the brick aside, then pushing the door closed. She does the same thing when a storm comes up - heads for our downstairs half bath (no windows). Closes that door too, with her paw. Trouble is though, when she wants out, she can't open the doors!
