my resignation......

#1 Postby BUD » Wed Jun 08, 2005 6:47 pm

Well, I gave my two week notice in to my assistant manager at work last night. She was angry because the other night I missed work because I hurt my back, but they still wanted me to come in and unload a 2200 piece truck. I had a doctor's note. She just said write it down. I think she was angry because we really do not have any one to work and they could not replace me. I start my new job next Thursday. I am really happy about it. I will go up to everyone I work with at night and tell them that it has been really nice to work with them and tell them why I quit. It feels good to stand my ground and find a new job!!!!

Wowser! You met your wife when SHE was a boss? Cool! :)

Congrats again on getting out of the grocery business. :D I can't help but chuckle about your manager at the grocery getting all ticked because you had back pain including doctor note, and then wanting you to lift a heavy object. What are they thinking?

Bud, it does feel great to be in control doesn't it? It especially feels good when you know you are doing the right thing for you and your family and you are doing it in the right way so that you keep all of your options open.

Congratulations and continued best of luck!!!
