Interesting night last night

#1 Postby weatherlover427 » Sun May 04, 2003 12:01 pm

Last night I left to go buy some more toys for my computer at 6:40 PM. I did not return until 9:35 PM. What took so long? The main part of the delay was the fact that the first cashier entered the check that I was using to pay for the bulk of my purchase into their computer wrong, and when he tried to re-enter it, it gave an error message saying something like the check had already been used. (well DUH) So after about 5 or 6 more futile attempts to get it to work, he called over a customer service manager (hereafter referred to as "CSM") and she couldn't get it either. That CSM called over the head CSM; and guess what? She couldn't get it. This back and forth game went on until 9:20 PM, 20 minutes after store closing, when they finally got it to work (thanks to an idea from the head CSM). Man it was an adventure to say the least.

With that said, here's what I bought: A new Internet Keyboard (meaning it has hotkeys where you press one key and thinks like your Internet browser and your e-mail program will open up, it also has hotkeys for your My Computer window and Microsoft Calculator); a new optical mouse (I misplaced the receipt to the old one and the old wheel/ball mouse that I had was beginning to stick), Norton Personal Firewall, Norton SystemWorks (which is a bunch of system clean-up utilities), a new 80 gigabyte hard drive for my computer (which I will have put in anytime between now and the end of the month), and a power strip (to replace one that broke).

So as you can see, I had an interesting night last night. :)

It's a little ironic that you were buying computer goods and they couldn't get theirs to work.

The only thing that seperates the men from the boys is the price of their toys LOL

Very ironic!

I'm sorry Joshua that you had to go through that, but It's great to hear that everything worked out in the end!

I finally my computer upgraded from 64 MB to 192 MB. My computer can only have double that, 384 MB.

I can see a marked different with the 67% increase, I can hardly imagine what it would be like to have it double what I have now. :D

Maybe some day soon I will upgrade to 320 MB. 8)
