Question about a monitor

#1 Postby southerngale » Wed Aug 03, 2005 2:13 pm

When my sister hits her mouse and first wakes up her computer, the monitor is very crisp and clear. Immediately it starts to deteriorate and before long, it's so blurry you can't even make out many of the words. She's tried changing the resolution just to see, but that didn't do anything. Does anyone know if there's something she can try or is it just a crappy monitor? It just seems odd that it's so clear at first.

In the Display settings, click "Advanced" button then the "Monitor" tab and change the refresh rate from 75hz to 60hz. If that doesn't help, go back to the same "Monitor" tab and click "Properties" then "Update driver."

Ok, thanks. She's at work now but I'll pass these tips to her so she can check it out tonight.

She tried all of that and nothing worked. She couldn't update the driver because no better match was found. Thank you though.

Any other suggestions? :)
