Not sure if that's going to help or hurt NBC's dead Must-See-TV lineup. It seems more people tune to CBS for Survivor, CSI, and Without A Trace nowadays and with Noah Wyle leaving ER, viewership may drop even more. ER was the only show from NBC's Thursday night lineup to be in the top 20, far below the CBS Thursday Three.

Personally, I'm staying with Joey, Will & Grace, The Apprentice, and ER. The only time I switch away from NBC on Thursdays will be if it's a rerun (and chances are I'd go to cable instead of another network) or if "The Office" is showing for some reason.

It would only help NBC if ABC's Alias and Night Stalker manage to draw some viewers away from CBS, thus hurting their ratings. It will be interesting to see where viewer loyalty lies.

Alias will be killed.

Night Stalker will not last.

Thursdays will be junk for ABC for the 200th year in a row.

This schedule sucks. I didn't think you could go worse than NBC, but this is just terrible. I'm surprised ABC didn't try to kill Housewives.

MONDAY: 8:00 p.m. “Wife Swap” (through January. New night and time)
9:00 p.m. “Monday Night Football” (through January)

Wife Swap will do decent(8pm Monday is usually very tight between all 4)

(the following will premiere after MNF)
8:00 p.m. “The Bachelor” (new time)
9:00 p.m. “Emily’s Reasons Why Not” (new comedy series)
9:30 p.m. “Jake in Progress” (new night and time)
10:00 p.m. “What About Brian” (new drama series)

I guess this is OK. At least they have a theme. I don't think it'll do that great though, but nothing else will either.

TUESDAY: 8:00 p.m. “According to Jim” (new time)
8:30 p.m. “Rodney” (new time)
9:00 p.m. “Commander-in-Chief” (new drama series)
10:00 p.m. “Boston Legal” (new night)

Yuck. Rodney will probably bring down Commander-in-Chief and Legal and ABC will probably find itself in 3rd.

WEDNESDAY: 8:00 p.m. “George Lopez” (new night and time)
8:30 p.m. “Freddie” (new comedy series)
9:00 p.m. “Lost” (new time)
10:00 p.m. “Invasion” (new drama series)

Moving Lost is fine, but putting a comedy that barely got good enough ratings to survive followed by one that looks decent for it's lead-in, I think it's a bad idea. I was for moving Lost, but I think ABC would have been better having a stronger lead-in for it. We'll see. Invasion will either hit big or flop. If it flops, it'll die a quick death since it follows Lost.

THURSDAY: 8:00 p.m. “Alias” (new night and time)
9:00 p.m. “The Night Stalker” (new drama series)
10:00 p.m. “Primetime Live”

This night will fail. Way to go ABC... Alias will be killed

The Night Stalker? Look for this to probably be the first of the ABC cancellations. Against CSI and The Apprentice it has zero chance. Primetime Live, well, ABC must like the basement.

FRIDAY: 8:00 p.m. “Supernanny” (new night and time)
9:00 p.m. “Hope & Faith”
9:30 p.m. “Hot Properties” (new comedy series)
10:00 p.m. “20/20”

This night looks pretty good(well, decent). I like Supernanny at 8(good chance at 2nd since NBC's reality trash looks like just that) and Hope and Faith/Hot Properties I think will work well together. 20/20 is 20/20. It's ratings will be dependent on the subject.

SATURDAY: 8:00 p.m. “ABC Movie of the Week”

*yawn*

SUNDAY: 7:00 p.m. “America’s Funniest Home Videos”
8:00 p.m. “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition”
9:00 p.m. “Desperate Housewives”
10:00 p.m. “Grey’s Anatomy”

YAY... a hit lineup they didn't mess up. Color me shocked.

Heads up for parents with youngsters -- "Out Of Practice" is a sitcom about a family of physicians, including one lead character who works in an ER and is a gay female. In other words, Kerry Weaver with a laugh track? It might have a PG-13 rating, but I haven't found anything about that yet. It's unique to have prominently gay female characters in sitcoms ("Will & Grace" doesn't count because Karen is...well,...Karen. She's bi and the show is campy). "Out Of Practice" is from the team behind "Frasier" so the humor will be smarter and less blatant. Nevertheless, some parents may wish to have fair warning about the character, who will be one lead among an ensemble of five.

"10.5: Apocalypse" -- what??? It wasn't bad enough so they're going to torture us with it again????

Same writer and some of the same cast, but this one is currently filming. Did they NEED to do a sequel? Isn't there a law?

It was better than CBS's Category 6 junk which they will have a sequel for... but that's not saying much.

I've seen some promos for some of the new shows this fall and only E-Ring stands out to me. Surface could be good, but borders on dumb in the promos. Commander-In-Chief didn't really tell me much. Thought the promo was bland. I did catch a snippet of a show on FOX that looked pretty good. Something about escaping from prison. I will have to catch it again sometime and maybe find out some more info. on it.

"My Name Is Earl" looks about as promising as Osama's future.

Tuesday, TUESDAY, TUESDAY!!!!!!

ARGH! How can I be expected to watch "Law & Order: SVU," "Boston Legal," and this new crime drama "Close To Home" with former NBC "Committed" star Jennifer Finnigan when they're ALL on Tuesdays at the same time???

JF was good for the short time she was on "Crossing Jordan" also.

I'm not even that much of a couch potato (wouldn't believe it by reading my posts, would ya?). I gotta have my SVU, but I really want to check out this new show. It's bad enough when they moved "Crossing Jordan" to Sundays, opposite "Boston Legal" and then cancelled "Third Watch."

OMG...I AM a couch potato!!
