The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer

#1 Postby JTD » Mon Aug 08, 2005 2:15 pm

It's just premiering now on CNN. So far, it seems good. They're trying to make old stories breaking news though but it's fast paced and Wolf is doing a good job.

Jack Caffetry has a role on the show too. He is so funny.

Anybody else see it/watching it. It's on 3 pm-6 pm EDT each day.

The Situation with Tucker Carlson has almost the exact same name. I don't watch either to avoid confusion.

BOOOOOOOOOORING! That is how I would describe it. It was probably just too hyped up and I was expecting unreasonable things. The one thing I did like was how many reporters and coorespondents they managed to bring in within the course of the 3 hours.

Lame, boring and as usual for CNN-Good sleeping show. If it hadn't been the middle of the day, I probably would have.

Lots of hypes, very little that was impressive.

I did like the screens they had with links to the Washington Post website, etc.

WX, you're right about the wide array of correspondents that they had. That was kind of neat.

Wolf's personality isn't that suited for anchoring I don't think. He's a better correspondent.

The technology impressed me. It seemed like a daytime American Morning but it was WAY better than A.M.

Didn't watch it, but news should be less interesting and riveting. Instead of entertainment it should primarily be out of obligation and compassion for your fellow man. Just my opinion.

News is really getting rid of content, all this flash here flash there BS. I think the worst thing you could do for any kid right now is let them watch the news, because its utterly terrifying without any context. If there was a dinner table I guess it could be discussed, and if people weren't utterly absorbed with their lives (but they still find hours to watch that brain draining device?)
