Just to let everyone know.... the Olympics thread that was in the Sports forum and the one that was here in OT have been combined.

Is there a comprehensive schedule somewhere that puts all events in order of time and the channels they are on. The one i found on NBColympics.com splits it up by sport and lists no channels.

I think this will be as close as you can get. Just change the date/hour.

USA Gymnastics good so far. They keep hopping, which should stop but everything else is good. Scores seem pretty good...even though I dont understand them.

Did something sound missing in that anthem?

EDIT: Besides the end.

What was up with the anthem? Does China want a diplomatic incident?! Three opening stanzas and cut the end off...

From Reuters:

BEIJING - AUSTRALIAN athletes will be advised to wear team uniforms outside of the Olympic village after a relative of a US coach was stabbed to death in Beijing, the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) said on Sunday.

Rather than marking them out as potential targets, the AOC president told reporters he believed athletes in team gear would stand out more for the thousands of Olympic volunteers and police spread out across the city.

'We will certainly impress on our athletes that when their competition is over and they go downtown, there are so many volunteers around, that it would be wise to be branded,' AOC president John Coates told reporters. 'We really should be insisting they wear their team gear.

'I think there is more likelihood of people keeping an eye out for your security if you are in gear.'
