Miss Mary wrote:Luis - oh I agree - what a media circus this has become.

But as I am forced to see continuous pictures of MJ on nearly every news source I've bookmarked, his face is even more disturbing to me now. Just the other day I was at the dentist's office and the receptionist said her children do not believe her when she says at one time MJ looked normal. Had many fans and was very popular. I said I remembered when he performed at the Grammy's or a similar music award show (1985), dancing to Beat It or Billie Jean and EVERYONE was talking about that performance, for days. He was on top of the world back then.

It's as if there are two MJ's - the one then (Thriller days) and the one we see now.

I agree 100% with you Mary.

SANTA MARIA, Calif. (AP) - Michael Jackson's accuser acknowledged under cross-examination Monday that he told a teacher that nothing bad had happened to him at the singer's ranch.

Defense attorney Thomas Mesereau Jr. read to the boy from what appeared to be a transcript of an interview of the teacher, Jeffrey Alpert.

Mesereau quoted the John Burroughs Middle School teacher as saying, "Look at me, look at me ... I can't help you unless you tell me the truth - did any of this happen?"

The boy acknowledged from the witness stand that his answer was "no."

The way he continues to dress, not only shows how incompetent his attorneys are, but will end up being one of the reasons for his conviction.

You know why many of us can barely stand to look at MJ? We know what he used to look like! And there was nothing wrong with what he looked like either. Hard to believe younger generations don't have this point of reference that some of us old timers (half there) have. Maybe they're not as offended or turned off as we baby boomers are? Just curious....I'm serious, I can hardly look at him, I quickly go to another site.

...is how I'll remember the "artist" and "entertainer" Michael Jackson. Back when he could dance the boots off James Brown and Paula Abdul. Back when many of us played both sides and every single song on the "Thriller" album over and over until our cassette tapes squealed from overuse. Back when we actually rented the VHS (or Beta :) ) from our video store, just so we could watch the entire John Landis production.

Back before he looked at "The Man In The Mirror" and decided to change his way...and chin...and eyes...and nose.

As far as I'm concerned, the artist formerly loved by many of us who grew up in the 80's jumped the shark with "Bad."

Songs come on my Yahoo Launch music player now and I find myself having to hit "skip" -- even on songs from "Thriller." I wonder if he knows how many fans he lost.

Bingo Shawn - this is exactly how I feel about MJ as well. I loved his Thriller album and each time MTV would air his videos I remember people stopping dead in their tracks to watch (bars, nightclubs, restaurants). Everyone would stop talking and watch! He was literally on top of the world back then and the pop charts.

What the heck happened? I know this transformation did not happen overnight, it took years for the MJ we see today to emerge. What I remember from when it started were the shocked reactions to his skin being much lighter. From there it sure escalated....

http://www.cnn.com/2005/LAW/03/15/jacks ... index.html

The accuser testimony is finished as the cross examination by the defense ended and terminated with the redirect questioning by the district attorney.Read all about what he said today at link above. He didn't want to be embarrased and that is why he told school officials that Jackson didn't do anything to him. Will the jurors buy that or not?

I'm sure they'll buy it, especially if the prosecution is allowed to offer testimony from a sex crimes professional like a shrink, SVU cop, or someone like that who can say that many victims of rape and sexual molestation deny that anything is happening or has happened and they do so either because of shame, embarrassment, guilt (they think it's they're fault), or, because the predator has so much control over them, fear.

Besides, was the dean asking him out of sincere concern for the boy, or was it like, "Joey, do you like movies about gladiators?"

Michael Jackson is SO out of touch with reality. I really believe that he thinks he didnt do anything wrong. I'm not saying that he didnt do what they say. I think he believes it's okay. I've shredded my Thriller CD. The guy creeps me out beyond belief.

Question - is that a real word?

Alicia - ditto, he creeps me out too. Thankfully I never bought his albums......lucky there. I would have but my budget was tight back then (had quit a full-time job and was back in school, first time ever for college at age 30!). But I remember MJ could do no wrong back then.....not now, I can barely look at the person. Won't call him a man. That's a stretch.

In spanish the word is (INDUMENTARIA) which means the dressing of a person.

Maybe not in the dictionary yet, but look how long it took them to define "wedgie."

I found references to it on the net. Most were actually "indumentaria" - a Spanish word. It's "clothing" or a "costume" for a certain era.
