Re: Iran Nuclear Standoff=Iran tests surface to air missile
I found a video of the test.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldne ... -Gulf.html
Speaking of videos, they filmed a U.S aircraft carrier from the 5th fleet navigating thru the Persian Gulf. IMO,that may be considered an act of war even if no shots were fired.

I think war is pretty much going to happen, just how much longer we are going to put it off.

Iran tests second missile (Long Range)
They claim success on both Sunday and today's tests. Still no response from Israel.
TEHRAN – Iran's navy said it test-fired a surface-to-surface cruise missile on Monday during a drill in international waters near the strategic Strait of Hormuz, the official IRNA news agency reported.
The missile, called Ghader, or Capable in Farsi, was described as an upgraded version of a missile that has been in service before. IRNA said the missile "successfully hit its intended target" during the drill.

The US chairman of joint chiefs of staff eluded to what you said.

Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Martin Dempsey is concerned that the US will get drawn into conflict with Iran, and said the United States is collaborating with Israel on the Iran issue.
"My biggest worry is they will miscalculate our resolve," Dempsey said, referring to Iran. "Any miscalculation could mean that we are drawn into conflict, and that would be a tragedy for the region and the world."

Iran plans new drills in the comming days.
TEHRAN | Fri Jan 6, 2012 11:56am EST
TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iran announced plans on Friday for new military exercises in the world's most important oil shipping lane, the latest in weeks of bellicose gestures towards the West as new sanctions threaten Tehran's oil exports.
Real Admiral Ali Fadavi, naval commander of the Revolutionary Guards Corps, said exercises next month would focus directly on the Strait of Hormuz, which leads out of the Gulf and provides the outlet for most Mid-East oil.
"Today the Islamic Republic of Iran has full domination over the region and controls all movements within it," Fadavi said in remarks reported by the Fars news agency.
Iranian officials have threatened in recent weeks to block the strait if new sanctions harm Tehran's oil exports, and this week said they would take action if the United States sails an aircraft carrier through it.

Iran close to starting nuclear work in bunker
VIENNA - Iran has taken steps in recent weeks that bring it closer to launching uranium enrichment deep inside a mountain, diplomatic sources say, a move that would worsen its nuclear confrontation with the West.
Iran has said for months that it is preparing to conduct uranium enrichment at Fordow - a protected site deep underground where it says it wants to make material for a peaceful nuclear reactor - but it has yet to start.

Re: Iran Nuclear Standoff
Leave Iran alone. I'm sick of islamaphobia and fearmongering. Another war is the last thing we need right now, as we have out troops spread thin in 130 countries and a $15 trillion dollar defiecit. Not to mention the WW3 implications this would have. (China,Russia,Pakistan)

Re: Iran Nuclear Standoff
Sir
THAT
is a two way street. I don't think the US is the one doing the fearmongering. We aren't the ones making all the threats. And I certainly don't see Islamaphobia in anything posted recently in this thread.

Sorry for the strong words. I didn't mean there was islamaphobia present in this thread. I just don't want to see a repeat of Iraq of you know what I mean.
