I can recognize a midwestern accent a mile away. :) You guys say "Bab" for "Bob" and "drap" for "drop." Down here in Texas, everyone is "fixin' to" do something or go somewhere. Midwesterners are "tryin' ta" get out of the office or go to the store.

lol Duck. That is true. The division starts right here in Missouri, too. The southern half talk normal, but once you get up around Hannibal... goodness! ;)

Oh yah! No doubt, the speakers in northern half of the midwest get more accentuated. Just watch "Fargo!" :)

Should be a very interesting report tonite.

All candidates better respond to the debate questions or your feet WILL be held to the fire!

Hey Marshall, you can have CIA, but it may depend on who the executive it. It may be neither of us. Some of these candidates may abolish the CIA. Better address that in the second round of debate questions.

coriolis wrote:Attention all canditates: How about a debate? I am going to ask a series of quetions. Here's the first round. Your responses please:

1. What is your position on Trolls? My position is they aren't allowed and I can do something about them too. They are history with me. Actions speak louder than words.

2. Would you be in favor of a merger with WWBB? The merger probably won't happen due to not being approved by the FCC - two of the biggest storm sites on the internet - that would create an Monopoly which is a no-no in American ways.

3. There is a call for "justice" in post counts. Some are calling for a "post count" tax. In a progressive fashion, those with high counts would be taxed, with a maximum of 10% of their count collected and redistributed to those with lower post counts. No, there is no justice in taxing people who have more time on their hands and are more efficient and can type at a faster rate than us slowfolks. There I will vote NO for any taxation on posts counts.

4. Should there be a chicken in every pot, or a gun for every chicken? There is a chicken in every pot. I love to cook and that's my outlook on live...cook someone a good meal and they will be happy and content. As with a gun - well - that's is everyone's own individual choice.

5. What is your position on sexy avatars?
If you don't want to look at the sexy avators - change your template to subrebel and the problem is eliminate. For every problem there is a solution.

I hope this has answered all the questions posed to me. Remember Patricia for President.

<------ So what do you think, George and Dick? Think this Storm2K Cabinet will have what it takes? :D

--------> Well, Sky Guy...it should be a real interesting debate for sure and then we'll see what transpires from there! :D

OK...so that there is no confusion at all about my position...here are my responses....

1. What is your position on Trolls?

The Pennsylvania Turnpike still costs just too much! Same in Illinois. Paying a troll at both ends of the state is absolutely ridiculous. There are troll booths in many states...sometimes just for crossing the bridge where the trolls reside. I say we eliminate trolls from all highways and bridges and confine them to the Troll House. That way, they can spend the rest of their lives making, are you ready, "Troll House Cookies," for all of us.

2. Would you be in favor of a merger with WWBB?

I am opposed to the merger. I believe that having one WB channel is enough already. But Warner Warner Brothers Brothers? That's like twins, isn't it? And what would be the advantage to logging on to http://WWW.WWBB.Storm2k.org?

No way...we need to stand tall against the Dubya Dubya Bee Bee! Let them do their own thing!

3. There is a call for "justice" in post counts. Some are calling for a "post count" tax. In a progressive fashion, those with high counts would be taxed, with a maximum of 10% of their count collected and redistributed to those with lower post counts.

I'm opposed to a "post tax." I'm a Republican, and everyone knows we Republicans want those at the top to keep all their earnings!

So, to better support the Storm2k vision, I propose a "pose tax." Those who fail to place a pose in the gallery must pay a tax in the form of twice as many posts as others.....with the objective being to eliminate no pose posters by requiring them to double-post if they don't post their pose.

4. Should there be a chicken in every pot, or a gun for every chicken?

Not every chicken can handle a gun. Some chickens can't even cross the road without getting hurt. On the other hand, some chickens are either tough old birds or too young ta' cook. So on this question, I must say I favor electronically fingerprinting all chickens before letting them into the heat of this huge melting pot...and surely want to see that they have all their eggs in one completely American-made basket before handing them a gun.

5. What is your position on sexy avatars?

I can live with that, but please, no glittering studs or piercings on the body parts below the equator. Not only that, I am absolutely opposed to sexy animated avatars that would be posted in pairs. Individuals only for animation.

If these positions don't put me over the top...well, I am sure there will be suggestions on where I should go and how fast I should go there.

And do any of the candidates have room for a Snow Nazi position in their Cabinet? :-?

I'm Jara Jennings with a "fair and balanced" Election 2004 report.

All is not happy in the Lindaloo camp as Linda and J are airing there differences in the media. J offered and olive branch but Lindaloo snapped it in two. J opened up a southern war as self-subscribed southern belles' Lindaloo, and the almost forgotten "I like spinning on barstools" Ticka1, jockeyed for J's allegiances. GD, speaking for Lindaloo described her as " more southern than fried chicken, peach pie with melting vanilla ice cream, and a tall glass of homemade lemonade served on the front porch during a hot Gulf Coast day while wiping away the glistening perspiration from your brow and hearing waves gently crash upon the shore." Folks are still gagging in Texas. The twist is how this fight may be alienating the all important mid-western woman. Jacki-Lynne may have rethought her run as she sits back to count the mud flying over the mid-west and says: " Midwestern Woman are b#tches....I mean woman too!" Don't we know it! GD, never one not to suck up to any woman, claims he knows all about the midwestern girl suggesting the Iowa girl endorse Lindaloo's run. Streetsoldier added:

"Dot depends on vair she libs in Iova, y'know...yoost haf to lissen to her talk ONCE, an' it vil tell all, yew betcha!
BTW, Iova people are ferry mooch like dose at Lake Voebegon...
Vere all da vimmen are stronk,
Da men are all goot-lookin'
Und da children are all abof aferach!"

Leading this reporter to ask if you want a man who can't speak English, running our National Security apparatus? Especially one who sounds like a German Beermeister.

Coriolis demanded all to take notice, asking what can only be termed by this reporter as the stupidest debate question in history. I wish I had thought of them. Ticka1, while firmly grasping the barstool, stated that to stop sexy avatars; "change your template to subrebel and the problem is eliminate. For every problem there is a solution. " I'm not sure that constitutes a debate question answer but she was not slurring at the time. Askyman awoke from the electerate dead with strong answers. Greatest was his tax question response. Lets listen...

Being in the higher post tax bracket, I can't help but agree. Of course, I have no pose either.

Rainstorm issued a results from a poll taken two days ago. Three hundred seagulls were asked to chose a candidate by dropping bird dung on several parked cars. Rainstorms car took three days to clean getting 67% poopiness. What a beautiful shade of bird-poopy grey.
Ticka1's unbiased poll picked her as the winner. 100 Storm2K polsters were asked:

"Whom would you chose as President? (Pick the wrong one and I will lock you out of the Storm2K web site!!)

Not suprisingly, Ticka fell off the stool and got 29%, Lindaloo 26%, Poppysky 24%, Rainstorm 19% and Undecided 2%.What a shock!

Jacki chimed in with uncontrolled laughter and stock in Kleenex Brands, furluvcats would like to announce her candacy for "House Decorator" and OtherHD wants a Snow Nazi position in anyones Cabinet.

Thats all for now, Jara Jennings, always "fair and slightly off-balanced", reporting.
