Thanks airman. This is actually something that I believe EVERY American should see and be required to see at that. A true reminder of the sub human vermon that we are fighting against

You tell em' Derek. That was one of the most revolting things I have ever seen in my life. They need to let us have a shot at them. Tit for tat. :grr:

Bonnie, if you're going to see it, I recommend standing up, and watching it, ... also, be prepared to get very very angry... and just start yelling at your computer

Good stress reliever actually!

I don't think that I'll be watching it. I'll take everyone's word for it - that's good enough for me.

I can't watch it myself. I'm sickened beyond words. May God bless that young American man's soul.

Well, I've watched it now also. Thankfully, it's not as vivid as the Daniel Pearl video or the other beheading one I saw. Actually, it was kind of blurry. But the sounds were the worst -- hearing Nick Berg scream and then the gross sound when his scream ended. :(

I believe Daniel Pearl was already dead. Nick Berg was still alive when this happened.

Probably so.

The other one I saw had no sound that I can recall. Whoever the killer was put his foot down on the victim's head to hold him and then carved through his neck as if he was cutting a roast. It just goes to show how animalistic these people are.

I'm not going to get the sound of Nick's screams out of my head for a while. :( Thankfully, the video I saw was not on one of those crappy sites. It must be killing the family to know how many people are watching it though. I've heard Rush and a couple of other radio talk-show hosts talking about it all day.

Saw it.

This, my friends, makes me wish I were MUCH younger, to employ once again something we used "in country" 30+ years ago...no one saw us come, or leave...they (North Vietnamese, Viet Cong) merely found their leaders dead with an "ace of spades" card placed conspicuously, as a sign that NO ONE was outside our reach.

And, that's more than I've ever said about it...and the only time I will. :grrr:

There is something sacraligious about watching the deliberate, violent last moments of someone's life. This, Daniel Perl, the point blank shot to the head of a man from the VC (which was just a photo) was bad enough - - I just won't do it. It is the principle of the thing. We already know the result, we know he died. Why do we have to watch this barbarious act against humanity?
The Holocaust should have taught mankind something about the sacredness of life. What the hell have we - or the terrorists - learned?

The Holocaust SHOULD have, but memories are fading; the generation that liberated the camps is rapidly leaving us, and those of us that were present in Southeast Asia are getting a little "long in the tooth", too.

What we have to learn from this, Corona, is that our enemies do NOT think or act like rational, civilized people; they are BUTCHERS.

Look at the Al Qaida "dream world" as evidenced in Afghanistan...women murdered for any real or imagined "offense", no one permited to even smile or laugh, under threat of a whipping by "morals police"; the only book allowed to be read..and read, and read...is the Qu'ran, and even that as interpreted by Wahhabi mullahs.

Magnify this worldwide, and you have an idea as to what our enemies really desire...the ancient dream of an Islamic, worldwide caliphate with one of Osama's dubious "religious/civil" caliber as master of all.

We are merely fighting the same war as the ancients again...Western freedom (Greeks) against Eastern statrapy (Persians), some 2,400 years later. Only the names have changed. And, the stakes are the same...it's for civilization itself, folks.

AirmaN - a little off topic, but I like your avatar too. We have a Golden that could be a dead ringer for your dog! They could be siblings!!! I wish I knew how to add your own pics for avatars....we only have about 200 pics of our dog! She's in the photo gallery with us, in our family pic that I've sent in for my gallery photo.
