I'm still in there. This is all so sad. Azskyman said it best by saying that the only thing we did wrong was get to know each other. And I think that the reason that this is still such a controversy is that so many people had their feelings hurt because of the way it was handled. It would be interesting to see a statistic about how many people here are former users of WCMB's. I would hate to see S2K be known as a bunch of former WCMB people. This is too good for that. I'm also wondering if any long term members here that were not on WCMB are getting tired of hearing about all this. They do have a bunch of new members over there, and we have ours. It bothers me that they won't even acknowledge this board as an alternative, or even a supplement to theirs. Let them talk about the local forecast music, and we'll do our thing. This is much more interesting.

That's a bunch of disjointed thoughts, but I'm on lunch break and can't really get it organized.

That's ok, coriolis because some things are supposed to be said. I have used TWCMB's rarely lately and I'm sad to say that that board seems to be misdirected. What did azsnowman do wrong is my question. I just saw yet another in a series of messages by one insistent member and would also like to know why our questions are left unanswered.

Ed while I have been an on and off member for the WCMB for years. Mostly just as a lurker as opposed to an active poster. As far as S2K being known as a bunch of former TWC'ers, I'm not worried about that in the least. This board was created as a refuge from the crap going on at TWC, GoPBI, WWBB and so many others. The fact is we have refugees from a lot of boards that are now making S2K home because we don't tolerate the anti-social behavior that has become the norm! The fact that we're percieved as some kind of threat or at least nuisance to them and others is proof enough to me that we are doing things right here at S2K. We just have to keep it up. "We built it and they are coming" to paraphrase a movie :-)

We may never have 9000 members and that's fine with me! We have the quality members that we wanted to attract when we started :-)

I've wondered too if long term members here are tired of all the Weather Channel talk. If I've offended anyone, my apologies in advance. Maybe we should cool it? I wouldn't mind letting the topic die down.

And I do find this board a refuge - so thanks Storm2K Admin.! The best board on the Net.

Last I checked...this isn't TWC. I know many points are well taken by the wx buddies here at storm2k...but TWC is a different place...and we should respect that everyone has specially made personalities. We are all different...that's what makes us special.

Good questions David! I hope you get some answers. I don't understand the rules about links to weather sites either. Some are allowed to stay while others are edited out. There doesn't seem to be a rule just selective enforcement of somebody's whims.
