Eric, I admire how health conscious you are.

I was a good girl today and had oatmeal and tea. Arkess, I would have traded with you in a minute!!! :D

After a break on Saturday (flapjacks at the Original House of Pancakes), my breakfast for the last two days (as well as nearly every day since New Year's...)has been plain old Quaker oatmeal -- no sweetner, no milk/cream, just a pat of Benecol (I think it tastes just fine, too, Arkess) -- and a mug of decaf hazelnut coffee with fat-free creamer.

After being on the South Beach Diet for over a year, my cholesterol count had gone up in December to 254, much higher than it's ever been. I'm going to see if oatmeal really does help lower that number, as the ads claim, before my doctor adds another med to my growing daily list.
