I thought Birmingham had some bad singers, but there was still some talent. More talent than Memphis had last week. lol

It is L.A. and it's been quite weird... the female version of Taylor Hicks was just plain bizarre. The first guy was totally strange(the dancing and then the stripping, lol). The singing was horrific. Oh yeah, and the beggers... ugh! No means no.

That 1 guy got his wish was he just simply wanted to be on TV it appears.. [the older guy}.. I liked some of them,

Did that guy yelling really think he could sing?

Anybody know what the San Antonio, Texas audience was singing at the beginning of the show?

I don't really watch the show anymore,but god I will never forget that episode with William Hung.When I first saw that I was ROFLMAO!That was the greatest season of the show IMO.

The deep voice singer from Dallas, TX was downright hillarious. Randy tried his best not to laugh, but he just...lost it.

At least he took it like a man, wishing his cousin the best of luck in Hollywood.

Akron Watson, whose successful "American Idol" audition was aired on the San Antonio episode Feb. 6, was uninvited from the Hollywood round of the show, possibly due to a 2003 arrest for marijuana posession.

PegasusNews.com, a Dallas-based online news service, reports that after Watson's audition in 2006, an "American Idol" film crew came to his Texas home to interview him for a feature that would air during the show. Watson reportedly discussed his past, including the fact that he pled guilty to the misdemeanor possession charge.

Sugar is not so sweet in gas tank
Watson's not the only San Antonio "Idol" wannabe who has a criminal record. Successful auditioner Ashlyn Carr confessed last fall to putting sugar in an ex-boyfriend's gas tank, according to The Houstonian Online, the student newspaper of Sam Houston State University. Carr was arrested on criminal mischief charges in November after the incident occurred.

Carr was a notable auditioner because she made dramatic faces throughout her audition, drawing criticism and a "no" vote from the judges.

But Simon Cowell rethought and sent "Idol" staff to find Carr and bring her back, where she sang again, still with many of the same facial expressions. After her second song, however, the "Idol" judges agreed to send her to the Hollywood round.

It does not appear that Carr's criminal record will affect her "Idol" chances.
