Well, it's amazing how things turn out for the good of those who love God.

I found out last night that my ex-girlfriend (and now my former friend) Tamara was not telling the full story when we broke up. Apparently she was seeing her ex-boyfriend behind my back while we were dating! This after the same man made threats toward me the day we began dating! I can't believe I am saying this, but if that's love to her, what's hate???

Well, today was my last day at work. I start at Showboat/Harrah's on Monday. I tried not to cry when I left but...

At least I'm still "in the neighborhood" and I'll be able to see or bump into some people now and again. Some friends took me out for drinks last night at Corky's BBQ and Bar that's located in the Tropicana.

I didn't want to leave, but in my mind, I had been "leaving" since the end of August when we first got word that the department may get laid off. I just want to get on with my new "life" and job. All of my friends are just a phone call or e-mail away. Marty left me a cute little note on my computer desk here that says "Keep your chin up! Your buds are still only a phone call away!" He's so sweet.

I think so, Steve. It just makes me sick. To think that she took advantage of my emotions, my true feelings...it just sickens me.

Howdy PBS buddies!

WOW!! Can you BELIEVE it's less than 2 WEEKS to turkey day? Where oh WHERE did the time go?

This weather, I don't know.....last week it was SO blasted HOT *yes, hot...74° in November up here is hot* and NOW...I just built a fire in the true PBS, it's CHILLY!

Yup Jeremy, you were taken advantage of BIG TIME :x Hang in there Brother, like I said, you're TRYING too hard, let things go, quit trying so hard to find someone, TRUST ME on this one, once you DO quit, you will be AMAZED how QUICK someone walks into your life, the RIGHT ONE will come along when you LEAST expect it. Life's TOO short there buddy to be so miserable over a woman Jeremy....I know  God takes care of His own....

Not much else going on....OH, CONGRATS Shannon, you'll do GREAT!

Arkess, I'm ashamed to admit it BUT, I've been through "2" divorces, the SECOND one was a HUGE mistake, I was like Jeremy, I was in TOO big of a hurry to find someone, it only last 5 MONTHS  I SWORE off women, quit dating and within 2 MONTHS Michelle walked into my life...that was 10 years, WONDERFUL years ago. Funny thing, Michelle and I NEVER went out to dinner, never went out dancing etc. and within a MONTH, she moved IN with me and 2 months LATER we were MARRIED :ggreen: We BOTH knew from the VERY first day that we were indeed SOUL MATES and were we EVER right!

Anyways....that's nuff, later folks and until tomorrow, "May the Good Lord Bless and Keep You!" I'll leave the light on! :ggreen:

I ain't looking. After this one, I have no trust left to get broken...so I'm just not trying. It's not happening. Uh uh, no way no how. It's all I can do not to go to Covington, Kentucky to rip her a new one in person. That's what I've wanted to do all weekend.

Yeah, Jeremy, you can't be too serious about women. If you don't have one, be happy. If you have one, try to be happy! It's better than being miserable without one and then being miserable with one.

Get a good dog if you haven't got one now. They are always loyal.

No kiddin', that IS good advice. I've got a good dog!

I went to my first "live" NFL game, today at Nashville -
Titans vs. Ravens. Ravens beat us by a point, but, I had
a most excellent time. It was fun to see the goings-ons that
you don't see on tv at home.

Good luck on your new job tomorrow, Steph. It's always exciting but
somewhat scary to change jobs, but, I'm betting (no pun intended - )
that you'll love it!

Football games are always a great time. Heck, the tailgating before the game is awsome too.

Cats are loyal also - to the ones that feed them!

Seriously, there's nothing like the unconditional love of your pet Jeremy.

I've been to a few pro football games but never to a serious tail-gate party. It's amazing that some can even make it to the game at all! I'm glad that you had a great time Annette! :D

I'm excited and nervous about tomorrow, but I'm "betting" that I'll like the new job as well!

Tailgating here in the Burgh is a real event. I've been known to tailgate and watch the game on someone's TV in the parking lot.

I'm thinking about at the very least some small pet. If not a dog, maybe some fish...
