You might want to stock up on Twinkies and vanilla soft-serve ice cream...the "foods that produced coppertop".

On second thought... :o

David, I am not one for rides. I go for the more simple, "non eventful" ones. :)

The downpour sure cooled us off, the sun didn't come out full force after it, so for not wanting it to get too hot, again... that was good.

I have only been to Epcot once before, with my brother and his girlfriend in Janaury 2002; it was actually a chilly day, being the earlier part of the month. During that trip I went to all the countries in the World Showcase, didn't during Tuesday's visit there.

Have a great Thursday, everyone!

I see where Steve (azskyman) has 2 fires burning near him now, well, it's NOT right there but close enough, Please Steve, correct me if I'm wrong......I was watching the 10 O' clock news last night and that was their lead story, I swear, we're ALL gonna burn up here if something doesn't happen and SOON!

Hope you had a great time Jeremy at church last night.....yup, we too, do a lot of walking, good for the enviro as you said PLUS......with the ever rising cost of gas these days, saves the wallet too!

Well, I'm gonna try to get 18 holes in before it rains.......Karan, now what size of bottle is that Scotch "LOL!" A fifth did you say??? "YUCK!" Sorry, I can't do scotch......now gimme a shot of Jose per hole "FORE!"

Well, Good Morning all!! Like VB, I have been burying my head in the tropics and it looks like we have a breather right now!! I have missed the porch and all the fun posts. :D
When I lived in Orlando, we had friends that worked at all the parks and would go all the time!! The best time we ever had was Universal Studios on Halloween night!! It was awesome!! :D
Dennis, I am glad to hear you are getting past all the "stuff" you have been dealing with! I miss talking with you and hope you and Michelle are doing well!!
Life is crazy here! I am on a weeks break from school and still holding on to a 3.97 GPA!! Go Me!! I am hoping I can maintain it and graduate with Honors! During my break this time I have to take my Math Profficiency Exam to make sure that I don't need anymore Math classes. Quick prayer that I pass it, I have enough Accounting courses in my future, I sure don't want to take EXTRA Math classes!
Bron, I am sure you are absolutely adorable pregnant!! I was one of the fortunate ones who never suffered from morning sickness! I feel for you!
Garrett, I have more books that will be sent soon! Can the library take Magazines too? I have tons that I was going to donate to the hospitals, but if your library can take them, I will send them your way!
Steve, always good to read your posts! They always make me smile!

Welp, folks! I gotta get to work and earn my keep! Take care and God bless you ALL!!!

Hi peeps :)

Gosh Dennis how many more fires are burning around AZ? I truly pray you guys get a good ol gully washer soon, That should do the trick :) Enjoy the golf day.

Jeremy how was you church function? I cant wait for AWANA to start up again, my son loves it and I enjoy helping out too.

Sandi, best of luck with the math test, I am sure you will do very well... glad it's not me though, I cant add 2 and 2 together and get 5  Hubby and I are thinking of doing a Halloween this year at Disney and New year at Sea World... Long way off I know but something to think about for future plans anyway. My morning sickness should not really be called morning sickness, but night sickness  .......blah!

I am still trying to convince my son that there is nothing I can do to change the sex of this baby, he is dead set against a brother... so I am trying to soften the blow if it is a boy, I dont mind what it is as long as it is healthy!

Take care all :)

We had fun... those guys were awesome! One trick, they actually got about 6 feet of air! (air= got off the ground) I think I ate too much, though!
Amanzi, good luck with the son there! I got 3 brothers and sometimes they are nothing but a pain...
GB, best of luck with that test......
Dennis, I walk everywhere in Florence... I can't get to Cincinnati by foot unless I walk for 3-4 hours at this point... gotta work on that...after the time in
the hospital, I gotta get out more this next couple weeks... oh and like you, I'm active in the community, I'm on the city's disabilities committee.

Well, that's it for now, time for a big glass of kool-aid, I'll put some out here with some ice,
Jeremy

Evening folks!

It's been a slice of time since I stopped on by to say hello and add my two cents to the pot :D

Rejoicing to read all the good news abounding...babies and vacations and fires under containment along with a host of other good things! Gives me a smile, giving thanks to God for all the blessings in the lives of a great group of folks!

I started my new part-time job on Monday, with Comair airlines, as a CSA agent...friends the first three days have kicked my butt!! I have muscles that are a achin' that I did not know I even had.Still I am thankful for God putting me on this path towards a new future. My goal is to be flying in the skies in about six months or so.On tuesday we had a dilly of a weather day, I found myself out on the ramp, wing walking the flights that we managed to get out, loading and unloading baggage amidst thunder and lightening and tons of rain.It was awesome and scary all at the same time! One of the bestest perks(other than the muscle building, fat burning that's a goin' on) is that now my husband, children and I can fly free anywhere!! I'm perusing the atlas scouting out just where we are going to first! :D

Our son is doing great, my girls are growing faster than I can keep up with, can hardly believe that in about five weeks it's back to school again..time flies, whether you want it to or not!

Well I've contributed about five bucks worth here instead of two cents! :D Best be getting on with the evening, it's snack time here....LOL....cept I did not get around to baking anything today...ah well there is always cereal!

Take good care one and all, May the Lord's Grace and Peace fall down from the heavens like rain!

Blessings Raine

PS:Dear David(vbhoutex).....sooooooooo very good to see you again, miss you fella, I've got a chocolate KK to share! Thanks for the smiles and laughs in my email(this one is for you as well Karan)..your timing, as always is amazing...just when I need it the most!Bless you both.... :D

Wow, the porch is popular this week! Woohoo!!! :D
So nice to visit with you guys and catch up!

Amanzi - Sorry you're not feeling well, but be comforted in the fact that it's an indication of a healthy pregnancy. Your HCG levels in the 1st trimester are doubling every other day. I have one word for you -
GINGER! Either take capsules (one at a time every few mins until better), or suck on some candied ginger (kinda spicy, but good). It works for motion sickness too. I always take one before I fly, or like last week when my daughter wouldn't go on the roller coaster by herself. (the things we do for our kids! ) Trust me, it works!! I wish I knew about it when I was pregnant!

raine - Congrats on your new job!!! Hmm, I see Cancun in your future. 8-)

pojo - Have a great vacation!

GB - I salute your 3.67 GPA!

Take care everyone!

I spent the day in Port Charlotte, Florida, which is located in southwestern Florida.

My parents, aunt, uncle and cousin [spending time with my parents and I]visited with my other aunt and uncle [who are also visiting from Massachusetts] and their two children (my cousin's)... they are in their early to mid 50's. It took us three hours and fifteen minutes to get there.

On the way back, there was some impressive "heat lightning" in the eastern and northern sky... the sky where the most intense flashes were, were actually the most ominous, unlike what the defination I read about heat lightning. I was observing this from dusk to about two hours after dusk.

Wow Tom, sounds like you're having quite a time with the family and seeing a lot of FL. Have fun!

I'm heading down to Tampa tomorrow to spend a week with my family. The kids can't wait to go to Lowry Park Zoo. They enjoy that and Kid City (right next door) more than any Disney theme park, and it's at a fraction of the cost. Woohoo, GO ME!!!
Then on 8/2 we leave FL straight to NH for my best friend's surprise 40th birthday party. She doesn't know I'm coming or that I'm invading her space for the whole week. LOL

I'll try to get online occasionally. If not, see ya in 2 weeks!!!!
Take care everyone! :D

 Isobar, GO ME I liked that. Have a great time.

Hi everyone,

TGIF, I seem to be saying that a lot lately.

Oh Broni, that's miserable. I was sick for 9 months with my second. Got very good at excusing myself and returning very well composed. Think saltines. David was right!!!! But you have to eat at least one before you even raise your head off the pillow in the morning, that's the secret.

Dennis, I have to agree with you regarding the Scotch. I'd rather have Crown Royal. (Bron don't listen to this it will make you sick)

lol David, I'm glad you don't claim the Dixie Chicks. They need to move to France.

Oh Shannon, you're still running all over the place. Girl, you need to take a break!!!!! You work wayyyyyyy to hard.

Raine, as always you are a ray of sunshine. You'll be our Morton Salt Girl.

Well, I better get back to work. I brought some iced tea with lemon. Enjoy.

Take care
Karan

Howdy everyone. I am extremely busy so I just thought I would take a little time to stop in here at the front porch before I get in bed. Just wanted to say howdy and check up on everyone. :) After tomorrow, the music festival that we run will be over and I will back to my normal routine for a while.

Shannon...enjoy your time away from the comp. :)

Sandi!!! :o Wow. Your GPA is awesome. Science and math always tend to lower my GPA. :( Not too much, but just enough where I am around 3.75 or so.

Everyone have a great weekend and Joshua...stay cool! ;)

Good Morning!

WOW! We're actually getting some rain "WOOOHOOO!" Lindaloo.....to answer your question in another thread, yes......the monsoons are here but they are hit and miss, I've seen it rain ACROSS the street and only a sprinkle here at the house...........parts of the state are getting pounded, others, like Azskyman, are drier than a bone. I've had 1.98" so far, to date I SHOULD have 6.95" but hey..........like I've said, I'll take every single DROP I can get!

Sandi.......what a GPA you have :o Keep up the GREAT work and yes.....you'll be in our prayers!

Raine.....Mmmmm, Mmm THAT sounds GOOD

Hope your vacation is wonderful isobar, can I come???

Breeze, I've retired once and it's not all what it seems to be, that's why we own a business, I can't sit idle, drives me NUTZ!

Off to water some newly planted trees, the rains we've had doesn't amount to a hill of beans when it comes to trees, all it's done is help the weeds grow "LOL!" Have a GREAT Saturday would ya? C ya at chat tonight (if the boomers don't come in that is!)

BTW........{{{HUGS}}} Karan!

Howdy All!
Bron, catch some for me and I will keep that little secret!

Raine, the job sounds fabulous and the perks sound even better!! What an opportunity you have to see the world!

Garrett, your GPA is awesome too! All the rest of my classes from here on out are all Math, but I have a gift for numbers and am not too worried about it, but it is going to be a "buckle down" time for me. It will all be worth it in the end.

Dennis, so glad to here you have rain! This time last year, we had received 26" of rain and this year we are up to over 50"!!! :o I wish I could send you some of ours, we have plenty to spare!

Iso, have fun at your friends party!! It sounds like a big surprise for her! What a neat thing to be a part of!

Breeze, glad you stopped by and Josh, enjoy the A/C! You never know what you got till its gone huh?

I am heading out right now, not real sure what I am going to do or where I am going to go, it is just a beautiful day and it is calling my name!

I am leaving a fresh pitcher of pink lemonade and some oatmeal raisin cookies here for you to enjoy while you peruse the postings. ENJOY!
