Season 6 started out pretty weak, now it seems to gain its strength!!

You really thought so? I thought it was the best episode in quite a while! lol - funny how it can be seen so differently.

I REALLY loved last night's episode. Lots of action, twists, plenty of Jack!

I figured Audrey was alive, but I thought it might be another day's (season) mission... Jack in China trying to rescue Audrey. The fake rescue of Fayed had me fooled though, as did the nuclear strike bluff.

I did.

That fake "rescue" and Wayne Palmer's nuke bluff were great twists!

On 24 , the rule is -- if you don't see the person "die" or the corpse, then chances are they aren't dead. It is just a matter of time before they pop up again.

WOW.

I bought Season 5 on DVD Thursday and have gotten through 16 episodes so far(TEN today) and OMG... I missed a LOT. I know how it begins and ends but I missed tons in between. The attack on CTU and everything surrounding that(and so much more). It's been amazing. I can't stop watching.

That was season 5 level awesomeness.

But CTU security sucks big time. The show is bordering on silly with the Bauer family drama... and oh yeah, the Lisa plot.

Bumping up for the season finale . . . yes. .. the season finale .. . . finally

What will happen in the last scene that will surprise Jack?. . . what?. . I have to give you a reason to watch here. . .

[spoil]Someone who is been "dead" for awhile is coming back . . . and on 24 that is a lot of people . .[/spoil]
So will TPTB actually include that final scene (that has been floating in the rumor mill since March. . .we are talking actual scripts from reliable sources with the rumored scene) that will supposedly set up Season 7? Who will it be? What will it be?

There are 3 possibilities named by a extremely reliable source already.
They are:
[spoil]?
?
?
 I've been sitting on this info so long, it would be a shame to spoil it ;)[/spoil]

Ok, I peeked at your spoilers. (I never do that!) The first one... hmmmm. Image
I have a few ideas who that could be, and who I WANT it to be. *crosses fingers and toes*

Your 2nd spoiler... omgosh - unbelievable!!

Personally, I am hoping for final scene possibility #3 because I was so upset when <insert name of person I guess we thought dead and gone> "died". I've been in denial. .. . Though some people like possibility #2. . . ETA: Possibilty #2 has been deleted as an option.

Ok, I'll throw some bread crumbs. . . :)

The now-debunked option final scene #2:

[spoil]Choice # 2

Debunked. No bad twin, no meaningless motorcycle man, no Logan as the super secret shadow figure who financed Nina's operation in Mexico and no super secret international anti-terror group for which Jack was destined to join. All irrelevant and very bad fiction.

So which one will it be? Will Jack show up at the doorsteps of xxxxxxx's beach house?[option #1] Will a mysterious helicopter shine down on Jack and lead us into season 7?[option #3][/spoil]

More later, I promise :)

I hope there's an update on Logan and Palmer's conditions(Logan was attacked by Martha about 10-11 hours ago and the end scene for him he was crashing), and Palmer, well he collapsed after they took him out of the coma and he was taking that adrendaline.

Well I thought it ended really well, very suspenseful, but where was the "dead person who comes back?".

I TOTALLY called Chloe being pregnant the second she complained about being tired(*GASP* The people on this show are human).

YAY for Jack's family storyline being over, and it ended great I thought. I guess Logan just faded into the dark but I'm glad Palmer was at least mentioned.

YAY for Buchanan helping Jack save the day.

I think that's all... very interesting setup for Season 7. It really felt kind of "final" though, as in the end, but why did Jack get a silent clock at the end?

it got cut apparently :x It was supposed to be Tony

here option #3 btw:

Choice # 3

Jack drops off of the helicopter (on purpose) and Buchanan knows not to go look for Jack and that if he ever wants to be found he will be.

Jack makes it to the shore and sits and looks off into the ocean. There's complete silence as Jack ponders where his life goes from here, he's at the crossroads of his life. Then out of the silence we hear a faint sound. As the sound grows closer we realize it's a helicopter. Jack looks behind him at a house on a cliff and a piercing white light focuses in on him as the helicopter descends down and lands on the beach. Jack takes out his gun and he thinks it's CTU to come and detain him but it's not. A heavily armed special forces unit pours out and they make Jack drop his gun. Jack complies and the men put a blindfold over Jack's head and take him inside the helicopter. The soldiers place Jack next to their leader who remains unseen as he's talking on a cell phone which obscures his identity. The man on the phone hangs up and we go to complete darkness as we are now watching from Jack's perspective. Then we hear the voice. I'm paraphrasing and it went something like; "I'm going to remove your blindfold Jack, but you need to understand something first. There are people within our government who want change. Two years ago I was part of that change and I payed a steep price for my patriotism... That price {Jack's blindfold is removed} ..... was my wife"... Jack's eyes adjust to reveal Tony Almeida. Jack simply replies with "Tony" as the look on his face registers as pure shock. We are left to believe that Chris Henderson recruited Tony well before day 5 and that Tony's alleged death was nothing more than an elaborate hoax so that he could continue whatever work Henderson's group has plans for. I guess we're supposed to believe that Tony is recruiting Jack and this will lead us into the drastic season 7 change.

Re: 24 Season Premier!!

#200 Postby Brent » Mon Jul 09, 2007 8:15 pm

OUCH!

The producers have thrown out the ENTIRE plot for Season 7 as production was set to begin.

I think 24 is reaching an end... this is BAD.

http://community.tvguide.com/blog-entry/TVGuide-Editors-Blog/Ausiello-Report/Exclusive-24-Plot/800018254

In fact, news of the setback comes on the same day the semiannual Television Week critics' poll (in which yours truly participated) named 24 the second worst show on TV, behind ABC's best-not-traveled October Road.

October Road was awful... I don't think 24 was nearly THAT bad.
