lol - yeah... I had to rewind that. Since this is my first season really watching, I don't know... do they show the coaches on the air?

Well, I didn't do too bad. I predicted 3 out of the 4 who'd be going home. And although Nicole didn't do great last night, she was definitely better than Alaina and Antonella. Frankly, I'm shocked that Alaina made it. Antonella wasn't very good either, but she already had a fan base because she's gotten so much air time, so she had a better chance than Alaina. I did guess Amy wouldn't make it but I think the two that deserved to go the most, based on last night, were Alaina and Antonella.
FWIW, I think Amy has a pretty voice. I hope she tries again next year and picks something more lively if she gets through.

Yeah, they will air a little segment before each one sings(once it's down to the top 12) showing the coaches working with the contestants. They usually have the coach comment on their progress too.

Oh goodness... I already am! :eek:

I can't believe I missed 5 years of this. Why didn't anyone tell me it was a good show and fun to watch?
I just don't have the time, so something's gotta suffer. I cooked and ate on Monday...that ought to last until tomorrow. And those dirty clothes won't stink so bad if I spray some Lysol on them. The dishes? Well, I've been meaning to take on a new science project anyway.

Well, if any of you like Antonella (which I don't), I think you can kiss her good-bye. Some rather ummm raunchy pics have surfaced and I'm quite certain they'll get her disqualified. Boy is she ever trashy!

Does anyone know what happens in a case like this? Will they just continue on with 11 girls or bring someone back?

Randy Jackson was on the radio this am and he stated, when told about the photos, that "it doesn't affect her singing and that is what their fate is determined on." I am not sure anyone has been taken off for raunchy photos, but the ones that have been removed all had some sort of "criminal" history that was verifiable.

I'm very curious to know if AI is aware of the latest photos and what Randy had seen when he said that. The first ones where definitely provocative and slutty IMO, but the ones that didn't surface until apparently this afternoon are much worse. God help my eyes... I saw some of them, and it's stuff. They had the male body part blurred, but you could definitely see her face and no doubt what she was doing.
From what I've read on that AI board, another contestant in a previous season was disqualified for stuff photos, so I just figured she would be too. Perhaps you remember that if you watched? I wasn't watching and if I heard about it on the news or anything, I've since forgotten.

IMO, she would have been voted off anyway because she just doesn't sing as good as some of the others. I think her and Alaina were the worst, at least the other night.

I did gush a bit after Season 2 about Clay Aiken. I think we've had a thread about American Idol each year.

I like Chris - he's really a character and I like his voice.

All I can say is that LAKEISHA (sp?) is the one to beat. What a voice! Her singing made me realize how much I really did dislike Fantasia's voice. She's just too screechy! :eek:

I could be mistaken but the current photos of Antonella have been described as topless photos of her taken by a friend? and not something so sick as a kiddie stuff site. We'll see what happens. She may bow out on her own.

Unfortunately, I've seen photos worse than just the topless ones. Unless they turn out to be fake, it would definitely be described as stuff. I have no way of knowing if they're legit, other than they definitely LOOK like her and several sites online are posting them as legit.
Regardless, I've seen enough to know that I think she's trash... these aren't run of the mill "sexy" photos, but raunchy, I really feel sorry for her parents who are probably dying about now, photos. Like gross!! I guess we'll see what happens, but I find it hard to believe that they'd allow her to stay on the show. And wouldn't you think that if you allowed photos like these to be taken, that you'd realize that they could surface if you audition and end up on a television show like American Idol? I mean... that just seems like something that would cross your mind. Hello???

duckie, when they disqualified the other girl, did they bring up the last one who was voted off or continue on with one less girl?

Kelly, I have no clue. I just remember the story about the photos. I've only been an AI watcher off and on since the beginning and I never got into reading all the news and sites as devotedly as I do for "my" shows.
