I just found that out too today, I did an accel. HR Block return and I am getting my check mailed to me, even though i had it direct deposited. I am not happy about that... should start going out on May 9th for us.... fun!

Isn't the h&r block kinda like a loan? They give you the money right there and they get your refund? So it makes sense that your rebate would be mailed to you. Don't forget you'll have to claim this check on your next years taxes.
I don't know when i'll get mine. We always file an extension. I usually get my tax stuff finished around july or so.

Also heard that if you used turbo tax and payed for the fees to come out of the check automatic you will have to wait for the paper check because it went to that Santa Barbra bank first and that bank then sent it to you minus the fees....If you paid for the fees with credit card you are ok...I'm not...

Go to irs.gov - you should be able to find out there. If you're getting a direct deposit, you can enter information that will tell you how much will be deposited and on what day.

Ours showed up today, but less than expected. It was not a check (like it was supposedly going to be), it was direct deposited. Secondly, it was $300 short of what we *thought* we were supposed to get ($1500, instead of $1800).
Check out the reason why:
They pay $300 per child in the household, BUT because I turned "17" in September, they didn't pay my parents for me. I still live in the house and am still in High School, but because I turned 17, they will not pay. I'm not an adult, nor am I living out of the house...so where is that extra $300 at? Is 17 some sort of "magical" cut-off age? Give me a break!
