The comic is how people use Memorial Day to do their barbecues. Memorial Day is a day to reflect our soldier's sacrifice. Than again, everyday we should reflect on the soldier's who died.

Frack, I feel for your cousin. The bond that those men form is something you and i will never experience. Men from my nieces husbands still contact her to see how she is doing even after a year and a half. :cry:

When I read the details that come back from combat zones, it makes my physically sick. I cry. I throw up. And I will prolly get drunk later today. It's been 36 years since my Infantry time. The memories don't go away, they don't even fade. They turn into nightmares. Sometimes I even question why God would allow our species to exist. I think I finally understand the cartoon posted twice in this thread. For me, I'm not looking at the fat guy complaining about food costs....I'm seeing the long rows of a national cemetery. And it hurts.

For any military personnel currently in harms way.....know that we support you. And we want you to come home safe.
