Of course I voted for Eli. He's so talented but also so humble. I like that. He doesn't ask the viewers to vote for me, he just seems so appreciative he's in the top 5.

I voted 20 times (10 online and 10 via phone)......

? though - will there be a top 2 or 3 from tonight's vote? And if so, do the judges make the ultimate decision or do the fans?

I can't BELIEVE NBC cut an hour-long show down to 45 minutes! Never thought I'd live to see the day...

From what I can gather on the IMDB boards, NBC didn't air this episode on the west coast. Fans there were cheated! They didn't even see it.......

I am glad that Neal E Boyd won. He really deserved it.

Even though I voted for Eli each time and declared he was my favorite from his first appearance, when it got down to 3, I braced myself for NBS to win.

Shocked when they had to leave the competition.

Then it was down to two.

I braced myself for Neil to win but again, like NBS I expected Eli to win it.

I am honestly shocked this morning. Not to take away from Neil's talent, I just don't see his act as being Vegas-like.

They kept emphasizing Vegas, Vegas, Vegas.......I don't think I even breathed for a minute or two when it was all over.

Poor Eli, he left the stage so quickly. My heart broke for him (but I know he will receive a recording contract, he's so talented)......

I was just never a Neil fan. I know it shouldn't come down to this - an Opera singer with amazing talent, an excellent voice but he cries like a baby! Jerry Springer was right - Neil, you're such a crybaby! Crying at the very end makes sense but the man cannot even give an interview or sing on stage without the tears flowing. From the get-go that annoyed me! I'll be honest.....

But I will congratulate him. Neil was the fan-favorite here. I just thought NBS would be the fan-favorite. Wished it would have been Eli though....sigh.

Miss Mary,
I liked NBS also and was shocked when they left. Same with Eli, shocked,was a surprise. But NEB really showed that he has talent for opera and other music also when he sang in his performances. He will probably show this talent off when his show goes on in Vegas. It just goes to show that even a heavy person can succeed , all it takes is HEART and the drive to excel.
