As expected, in Kenya the celebration has been almost non-stop.

Kenya in full throes of Obama frenzy

Goodbye, President Bush. Thank you for serving your country as President for 8 years. You'll be missed.

This is one of those days that you can look back and say..." I remember exactly where I was when Obama was inaugurated"

God Bless our new President Obama and Vice President Biden and their families.

God Bless the United States of America.

I am glad that Senators Kennedy and Byrd are doing alright.

I echo those sentiments Steph.

Today feels like the day after - the best Christmas you ever had. The day after - your wedding. The day after - your first baby was born. The day after - your child was married (haven't had this happen yet). The day after - your Grandchild was born (again, haven't experienced this but I've heard it's the best feeling)......

All of these feelings - rolled into one big ole, warm your heart, put a huge grin on your face, kind of feeling!

As President Obama said in his speech - Yes we shall. These are going to become the words I will now use to describe how I want this country to proceed. We should all come together, shake hands and then GET BUSY!

I wish Roberts hadn't flubbed up the oath. Now we're going to hear conspiracy nuts whining for the next four years about how President Obama was never properly and officially sworn in and thus all of the legislation he signs is invalid.

Obama re-took the oath of office today just to be safe incase someone tries to say he isn't president.

By constitutional law he became president at 12 noon yesterday Eastern time, oath or no oath. Better safe than sorry I guess. And with this post this thread is locked since there is no more inauguration to watch or comment on.
