Chinooks are also one of the remaining Vietnam-era pieces of transport still in use; one would think that we'd have a newer, more mobile, armored/defense-capable one on the way...???

I think the Army is planning on getting rid of the Chinooks in favor of newer Blackhawks (trying to save $)
