Nothing at all on any message board should act in a temporary or permanent ban?

Moving this back on topic, I enjoy Gerald's newscasts. He has his own style which makes him different from all the rest. He isn't as canned as the rest; things are in his perspective and he calls them as he sees them.

its interesting that geraldo underwent a political "enlightenment". from kerry ultra-liberal to
libertarian a few years ago.

Don't worry about it Suz. That is how the wwbb trolls react to any situation.

Geraldo

#31 Postby george_r_1961 » Sun Feb 29, 2004 4:50 pm

I USED to like Geraldo until that map drawing incident. That shows me he will get a story at any cost...including loss of American lives. He should be banned forever from reporting in a combat area...or on any military base.

Geraldo is and has always been a sensationalist type of reporter. What he did in Iraq was inexcusable but reflects the rest of his career. I've never taken anything he says at face value since I believe he'll do anything to make a story even if there isn't one...

Geraldo claimed it was the "fog of war" that caused him to draw the map in the Iraqi sand. Some believed him while others disagree and think he shouldn't of gone overseas again (as many times as he has) since the incident.

He was suspended for a few days after the "drawing in the sand episode," so he was reprimanded, which was better than nothing.
